Y/N's POV
I was in the middle of about to finish up my last college assignment for the year with a heavy sigh as I cannot wait to get this over with and I can finally relax for the next few months in the summer year.
"Finally... I can go play Helldivers 2 all summer..." I muttered to myself sighing in relief and exhausted from this long school year of agony and hell.
Out of nowhere, I jumped from my chair as my phone loudly rang and I saw the caller ID belonging to my one and only childhood best friend... Hanni Pham.
I sighed and playfully shook my head before grabbing my phone and answering it to see what Hanni could want.
"What is it now, Hanni? Do you need to squash another roach of yours again?" I playfully joked and chuckled.
"Yah! Always assuming you need to smash a cockroach and for your information, I can handle my own!" Hanni affirmed and I grinned as I knew that was a lie.
"Whatever you say, Hanni, what do you need this time?" I asked her and she giggled over the phone.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a vacation trip to Jeju island, my company is giving us a break for the summer and since my girls are busy with other things, I want you to accompany me and it will be fun! I promise!" Hanni asked me and I sighed as I was looking forward to staying home all summer but when it comes to Hanni I cannot refuse.
Accepting her offer, I packed up all the necessary items that I needed for the trip such as clothes, medicine, and most importantly sunscreen when we go to the beach I got a family-size one just in case Hanni forgot to bring sunscreen again.
The next early morning, Hanni arrived in her car waiting for me outside, I went out of my house after locking the front door with my luggage in hand.
"Morning, Y/N/N (Your Nickname), for once you looked like you didn't oversleep! I'm impressed!" She greeted and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Like you do the same?" I joked and she scoffed.
"Oh, please, not like I have the option to do that in my career, anyway, get inside before we are late and miss our flight!" She replied and I placed my luggage into the trunk.
I hopped into shotgun next to her, Hanni drove us to the airport and we arrived in the VIP parking lot, she turned her keys over to the front desk for safekeeping, and we grabbed our luggage.
We checked in for our tickets, had our luggage searched, and by security, after we were cleared to go, we headed to the VIP waiting lounge for our plane to dock.
"Did your company pay for this?" I asked cheekily and she playfully rolled her eyes at me.
"Nope, not this time, this is all covered by me so you better be grateful~," She answered and I chuckled.
