Chapter 3:

- 1 month Later -

Alissa felt her heart painfully clench as she watched Jacob from across her seat at the pack bonfire, watching Jacob place a loving kiss on Bella's cheek as he held her. 

A month had passed since Jacob had yelled at her that he would never want her and soon after Jacob began to bring Bella around more and more as he flaunted her around Alissa.

Alissa would sit and watch as he would hold her, kiss her, promise his love to her while she was near as him and Bella both held smirks.

Alissa had continued to try to show Jacob that she loved him but to no avail which was also shown testimone to her looks.

Her eyes had bags under them and she seemed to be throwing up and passing out more and more frequently.

But luckily she had two supportive friends. Leah who stood by her best friend no matter what and to everyone's surprise, the man whore of La push, Paul Lahote.

Paul would hold her hair back, hold her, and comfort her as he watched his pack mate destroy his soulmate.

He had seen the negative effects of an unrequited imprint and would explain it to Alissa.

His best example being Leah and Sam who had been shocked when Sam imprinted on Emily but thankfully neither Emily, Sam, nor his wolf, felt comfortable with it and Sam broke the imprint bond and stayed with Leah who was estatic that Sam fought for their love.

Though both Paul and Leah knew a secret no one else knew, and that was as Embry spent time with the hurting girl in the past month, she had developed feeling for the wolf but would not act on it, knowing Embry would imprint which would lead to her heart breaking more.

And now they were at a pack bonfire watching Jacob flaunt Bella as she held a smug smirk and Alissa sat next to Paul and Leah who had Sam and Rachel at their sides.

"Come on Lissa just a bite." Leah pleaded as she tried to get her friend to eat something.

Alissa let out a painful cough as she nodded and grabbed the hot dog, taking a bite.

Sam and Paul beamed as she seemed to keep it down before Alissa began to cough violently and rushed to the bushes to throw up.

Leah confused turned to see Jacob sucking face with the leech lover and growled in anger.

"Jacob you're fucking pathetic!" Leah hissed as she went to follow Alissa.

Paul however shook with anger before he rushed to stand before Jacob who smirked.

"What's wrong Paul?" Jacob asked mockingly as Paul let out a deep growl.

"Is this cunt really worth it?! This stupid ugly disgusting fucking bitch of cunt! You're hurting Alissa!" Paul hissed as Jacob huffed.

"I want Bella and only Bella! Alissa is nothing but a worthless piece of garbage! I will never want her!" Jacob hissed as everyone heard a gasp and turned to Alissa with tears running down her eyes.

"U-Um w-we need more hot dogs, I'll g-get some!" Alissa said as she placed a fake smile on her face and ran to her car and sped off.

As Alissa sped off Paul growled before he tackled Jacob and began punching him as the others began to intervene as Jacob was already sporting blood in his mouth.

However no one noticed Embry who stared after Alissa with sadness and love, wishing more than anything that her imprint would break and he could imprint on her.

If Sam and Leah could do it so could she right?

While Embry pondered this Alissa walked around the store, holding a small hand held basket, and placed chips and hot dogs in the basket.

Alissa looked down to see she had everything and began to walk before gasping as she ran into someone, making them drop their items and began to help and apologize.

"I'm so so sorry! I swear I didn't mean to!" Alissa said as picked up a jar of pickled and looked up to see a caramel brown haired woman and a honey blonde man who both sported gold eyes.

"Oh you must Jacob's imprint Alissa! I'm Esme!" Esme said as Alissa smiled small and nodded.

"Nice to meet you..." Alissa said softly as she shook Esme's hand before turning to the male next to her.

"I'm Jasper ma'am." Jasper said shaking her head before frowning.

"I can feel your tremendous pain and feeling of worthlessness. Are you ok?" Jasper asked in worry as Esme turned to the girl with a mother's concern.

"Y-Yeah. It's just..." Alissa trialed off, not knowing if she should burden these people with her problems.

"It's ok sweetie. You can tell us." Esme said with a soft motherly smile making Alissa feel a bit loved.

"You're correct about me being Jacob's imprint but it's not going so well..." Alissa said as the two Cullens frowned in confusion.

"Is something wrong with the imprint?" Esme asked as Alissa sighed, feeling tears welling up and blinked time away.

"U-Um...Jacob has been rejecting the bond and has been kissing and been intimate with Bella to hurt me physically..." Alissa said in a small voice as the two Cullens gasped and looked over the girl, seeing her sickly look.

"Honey come with us and meet our family. My husband Carlisle is a doctor and being a vampire he may know a way to help you. Please let us help you!" Esme said with a pleading voice as Alissa seemed to consider it before gently nodding.

Esme beamed at this and lead the young girl and Jasper to the checkout aisle before leading them to her car, Jasper offering to drive hers as they began their way to the Cullen house.

Only Alice knowing the storm that was about to hit.
