Chapter 5:

-2 weeks later-

Edward had felt many things in his years of immortality.

He had felt sadness, shame, loneliness, love, and more.

But what he had never felt was the burning rage that he felt towards his now ex girlfriend Bella and that mutt Jacob Black who had hurt his soul sister.

In the past two weeks he had seen her have nightmares because of Jacob, eat at some times but get sick at others because of Jacob who had somehow got around Sam's alpha order.

He had watched as his family, himself included, and the pack somehow grow closer and team together for Alissa.

Paul and Leah hesitant at first but slowly warming up to the people who seemed to care for their friend.

And he had watched as Embry watched her from afar with love, Edward reading his thoughts and knowing the depth of love he felt for the girl.

He had watched as bonds of friendship had formed between them as crazy as it seemed and how he watched as his little sister drew in her drawing book as they leaned against a tree in the forest.

"Hey Lissa?" Edward said as Alissa hummed, not looking up from her notebook.

"I was wondering...if you could, would you break your bond with Jacob?" Edward asked softly as if he was trying not to spook a scared animal.

Alissa froze at the words from her brother and thought for what seemed minutes before sighing, tears welling up in her eyes.

"I will..."Alissa said as Edward sat quiet, knowing there was more.

"You know...when I felt Jacob imprint on me I was so happy! When we were young I had the biggest crush on him but he never seemed to want me. It was always Bella this or Bella that and I tried so hard! But...I was never the one... and I don't know if I ever will be..."

As Alissa finished saying this silent tears streamed down her eyes as Edward quickly brought the girl into his arms, gently stoking her hair as he rocked them.

"You are an amazing girl Alissa Rogers. Your beautiful, kind, not to mention famous and one day the right man will see you for your who you are. The perfect choice. And Jacob black can sit back and watch as he sees the person he gave up thrive without him. Because you are worth it Alissa Rogers. You're worth the world and more."

As Edward finished speaking Alissa' sniffled as she hugged her brother tightly, love and warmth spreading through her chest.

Not aware of the red eyes on them.

"Well well what do we have here?"

At this the two sibling turned to see none other than the three kings, the three wives, the Volturi twins, and demetri and Felix.

Seeing them Edward stood and pushed Alissa behind him as he stared at the Volturi kings and their top guards.

"Hello Aro." Edward spoke in a monotone voice twords the smiling king.

"Hello dear Edward. We heard that you had allowed another human into your family and had to see whether or not it true." Aro said as he let his eyes wander to Alissa.

"Yes well-" Edward went to explain but before he could Alissa began to cough violently as everyone turned their eyes to her and watched as she coughed, blood soon coming up.

Edward who was watching in horror trying to help her realized that this was happening because of that mutt who didn't deserve the title of being his sister's mate.

"That bastard!" Edward growled before picking up his sister, briefly telling the Volturi to follow before speeding off to the Cullen house where everyone was waiting, including the pack who had all been told by Alice of what had happened.
