DANS POV
I haven't come out of my room for two days. I felt lost in the world, laying in the ocean and being slammed against the shore over and over again. There wasn't a point any more. I laid on my bed, curled in the fetal position, tears streaming silently down my face. I heard a guitar starting to play outside my door and I sat up, looking towards my door but not moving to open it.

"I heard that you've been, self-medicating in the quiet of your room, your sweet, suburban tomb." Phil's voice seeped through my firmly closed door, the guitar PJ was playing backing him up.

"And if you need a friend, I'll help you stitch up your wounds." I heard Chris break off, singing the back up vocals softly.

"I heard that you've been having some trouble finding your place in the world. I know how much that hurts, but if you need a friend then please just say the word..." I closed my eyes, leaning against my headboard. "You've come this far, you're all cleaned up, you've made a mess again, there's no more trying, time to sort yourself out. Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one, make no mistake, the day will come when you can't cover up what you've done. Now don't lose your fight, kid, it only takes a little push to pull on through, with so much left to do; you'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you."

Their feet beat against the floor, keeping rhythm. "I heard that you've been having some trouble finding your place in the world.
I know how much that hurts, and if you need a friend then please just say the word... You've come this far, you're all cleaned up, you've made a mess again, there's no more trying, time to sort yourself out." Phils voice rose and fell beautiful, displaying what I could only call raw emotion.

"Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one, make no mistake, the day will come when you can't cover up what you've done, now don't lose your fight, kid, it only takes a little push to pull on through, with so much left to do; You'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you." The tune altered a bit as they pushed into the next segment of the song I'd heard many times and still loved.

"Grit your teeth, pull your hair, paint the walls black and scream, "Fuck the world 'cause it's my life, I'm gonna take it back," And never for a second blame yourself." Phils voice softened.

"Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one, make no mistake, the day will come when you can't cover up what you've done." Phil quieted as Chris practically screamed.
"No, you can't cover up. One, two, three, four!" Phil took back over, singing loudly.

"Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one, make no mistake, the day will come when you can't cover up what you've done, now don't lose your fight kid, it only takes a little push to pull on through, with so much left to do; You'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you." The song ended, and I heard some mumbling before two pairs of feet walked down the hall, away from my room.

I crawled off my bed and to my door, pressing my ear to it's cold wood. I heard breathing on the other side, loud in the silence. "Dan?" Phil said, breaking the spell. "I know you're in there, and I know you can hear me. I have something to say." I stayed quiet but listened, not knowing what was going to happen.

"I've known you for quite sometime. And since I met you, my feelings for you have done nothing but grow. I just wanted to say that I'm, I-I'm in love with you, dammit! I hate seeing you like this, it makes me feel like I'm not doing my job and I just, I love you and I want you to be happy. With me. It doesn't even have to be with me, I just, I need you to be happy." I stayed quiet still, processing this new and very good information.

I heard Phil sigh and start to walk down the hall, so I stood and opened my door. "Phil." I said, my voice cracking from disuse. He turned around and I took the steps necessary to stand chest to chest with him. My hands found his cheeks and my lips found his lips and there was a warmth spreading through me like nothing Id ever felt before. I kissed him hard, craving every inch of him. We pulled back at the same time, breathing heavily, looking into each other's eyes. "I love you" I said, kissing him again. "I love you more." Phil mumbled against my lips, pulling me back into my room.

A/N I'm not actually sure if there is a guitar in this song, but oh well
