"Valentines day. Disgusting." Chris said, falling into step beside me.

"Only because you don't like spending money." I pointed out, referring to last year when PJ got mad a Chris for not getting him anything because he was saving up for a new camera.

"I don't even have any money to spend." Chris mumbled, holding his books to his chest as we navigated through the swarm of students rushing to next period.

"Even if you had money, you wouldn't spend it. Come on, you and PJ have been dating for three years. Make it a little romantic." I said before slipping into my next class. It was English, and we're learning about Romeo and Juliet, the "greatest love story in history". In my opinion, its just a story about two whackos who loved each other more than was sane and took it too far. I tried not to fall asleep as I sat through my last class of the day. The only thing that kept me going was imaging the look on Phil's face when I gave him his Valentines day present tonight. I was also excited to see what he had in store for me. The final bell jolted me out of my day dream and I rushed out of the classroom, hurrying down the hall and throwing my books into my locker. I couldn't find PJ, Chris, or Phil in the hall, so I walked out to the bus and fell into my usual seat in the back. I shoved my earphones in my ears and turned my music all the way up, but even that wasn't loud enough to drown out the stupidity that flowed out of my classmates mouths. They were ruining my good mood.

"How many hot dogs do you think I can shove in my ass?" Some idiot yelled, receiving varying answers in return. I rolled my eyes as the bus came to a stop and I climbed off, greatful to get away from the imbeciles that rode my bus. I texted Phil as I walked home, telling him I missed him. It didn't deliver. I sighed, trying not to be worried and just focus on getting my present ready for Phil.

"Mom, I'm home." I said, shutting the door behind me.

"Hey Danny. Got any plans with Phil tonight?" My mom asked, ruffling my hair the way she knew I hated.

"Yeah. Gotta go get ready. Bye." I said, fixing my hair as I climbed the stairs.

"Aww." My mom said behind me. "My Danny baby's all grown up! Hes in love!" She was practically squealing. It was disgusting. I closed my door behind me as I fell onto my bed. Phil's present was sitting on my desk, staring at me. I sighed, picking up my phone and texting him.

[D] Phil where are you

[D] Pphhhhiiiillll

[D] I miss you

[D] I'm having literal actual withdrawals

[D] I'm lonely

[D] when can I see you?

I eventually gave up because none of them were delivering. I threw my phone on my bed and decided to change clothes. I looked through my closet, searching for something that wasn't black. I finally settled on a pair of black skinny jeans, black vans and a dark blue button down. I brushed my hair out of my face as I sat on my bed once more, this time seeing I had a text from Phil.

[P] 3784 S. Sunshine St. Go in through the back door and turn right. First door on your left. Come asap.

I smiled down at my phone before putting it to sleep and slipping it in my pocket. I scooped Phil's present off my desk and carried it out to my car, yelling bye to my mom before I drove away.

The address Phil gave me was a church. It looked like one of those church's that tried too hard to be hip and cool and attract the youth. I shook my head as I parked my car and carried Phils present to the backdoor. I pulled it open and slipped through into a dark hall. Turning right, I came to a hall with three doors. I opened the first one on my left and was met with only darkness. As my vision adjusted, I could see a huge screen, one you'd find at the cinema, and a empty stage below it. The rest of the room was empty except for a table next to me, which I out Phils present on. I was confused. There's no one here. I jumped out of my skin when I heard music start to play. I turned to the screen and saw a bunny singing to a carrot.

You are my sweetest love
That love I always want to hug
Because I really love you,
The world just has to know.

I'll do anything for you;
There's nothing I wouldn't do
Snuggle, cuddle and then hug me,
With you I always want to be.

Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah

My love is deep and true;
I'd be lost if not with you
So lonely would've been
If not for you and me

I'll do anything for you;
There's nothing I wouldn't do
Snuggle, cuddle and then hug me,
With you I always want to be.

Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah

Our feelings are so strong
And our hearts will beat as one
A never ending story
Is what I have with you

I'll do anything for you;
There's nothing I wouldn't do
Snuggle, cuddle and then hug me,
With you I always want to be.

Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah,
Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah

You are my sweetest love
That love I always want to hug
Because I really love you,
The world just has to know.

I'll do anything for you;
There's nothing I wouldn't do
Snuggle, cuddle and then hug me,
With you I always want to be.

When the song was over, the room returned to black. I have to admit that was cute, but wheres Phil? I crossed my arms and waited for something else to happen.

"Hey, Dan." Phil said, coming down the steps on the side of the stage towards me.

"Hey babe." I said, smiling. Phil smiled back, his eyes glowing.

"How'd you like the video?" he asked, grinning at me.

"It was adorable. Like you." I answered, grinning back. Phil laughed, taking my hands in his.

"Well, that's not all of my present." I raised my eyebrow, squeezing his hands.

"I know we're only seniors, and I know that no matter how much your mom ships us, our parents will never let us get married until we're at least 25," my heart clenched at the word married. Is he doing what I think he's doing? "but I love you. I love you more than anything in the world, and nothing would make me happier than knowing that you'll be mine forever. I don't care what happens, I want to spend everyday of the rest of my life with you and only you. So I've got a question, a very important question. Will you, Daniel James Howell, marry me?" I was crying so hard I couldn't answer him. I decided to kiss him instead.

"Yes, you idiot, of course I'll marry you. Whenever that may be, yes. A thousand times yes." I said, kissing him again.

"I love you so much." Phil mumbled against my lips, pulling back just a bit so he could slip a gold band on my finger.

"I love you too. But you're making my present seem really lame." I said, laughing through my tears. Phil laughed with me before kissing the tears off my cheeks.

"Don't cry, baby." He said, wrapping his arms around me. "These are happy times."
