Description of Idea: Izuku Yagi was sitting against one of the many large piles of garbage that litter the once clean and pristine Takoba Municipal State Park. He groaned as he cleaned one of the fresh wounds that he had received from his most recent beating at the hands of his quote-on-quote childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, which took place just moments before the same boy suggested that he should take a swan dive off a roof and prey for a quirk in the next life if he wanted one so badly. Unfortunately for the green-haired boy, this was another day in his tumultuous and frustrating life as a quirkless child, and he was tired of it.

He was tired of being the laughing stock and punching bag of Aldera Junior High. He was tired of always trying so hard to earn the acknowledgment and love of his parents, Inko and Toshinori Yagi, only for them to never acknowledge his very existence and instead only pay attention to his quote-on-quote perfect twin sister, Izumi Yagi. Speaking of Izumi, Izuku was also frustrated with his twin sister. Why? Even though Izumi is entirely aware of the cruel treatment that Izuku receives at school and the neglect that he receives from their parents, Izumi has done nothing to help her twin brother. Instead, she completely ignores Izuku and acts like Izuku does not even exist due to fear that association with her quirkless brother would ruin her reputation, all the while basking in all the attention she receives from her parents and peers at Aldera.

Izuku's thought process was soon interrupted by a plastic object falling off the trash pile he was leaning against and hitting him directly on the head. Izuku groaned in pain as he picked up the object, only to see that it was a broken All Might action figure. Izuku gripped the toy tightly as he vividly remembered what happened moments before he arrived at the beach to clean his wounds.

Izuku was walking along the sidewalk as he walked towards the beach, only for his eyes to light up with wonder as he saw the number one hero, All Might, apprehending a villain and handing him over to the authorities. Before All Might could take off, Izuku stopped him, only for the number one hero to widen in shock when he saw his son speaking before him. Izuku then asked All Might a straightforward question.

"Could someone like me be a hero even without a quirk?"

Izuku hoped that the Symbol of Peace would inspire him to pursue his dream despite everything at home and school. However, he was shaken to his core when All Might told him a single sentence that has been on repeat in his head ever since.

"I am sorry, young man. Without a quirk, being a pro-hero is not a realistic dream. Consider some other jobs instead."

Izuku gripped the action figure even tighter as the words of the Symbol of Peace echoed in his head. Like practically everyone else, the number one hero did not believe in his dream. At this point, Izuku's frustration had reached a boiling point as he threw the All Might action figure over a nearby junk pile with all his might only for the quiet surroundings of Takoba Municipal State Park to be interrupted by an interjection of pain.

"Ouch!"

Izuku's eyes widened in horror as he realized he had likely pelted someone with the All Might action figure he had tossed just a few seconds ago. He ran in the direction the interjection seemed to come from and went around the garbage pile to see if the person he had likely just pelted was okay. He saw a middle-aged man rubbing his head in pain. The man had a pointed-croaked nose and a pointed chin. He had brown hair and dark blue eyes. He was wearing a long turtle neck sweater under what appeared to be a lab coat. Izuku thought that the man was a pharmacist taking a break from work by relaxing on the beach, only to be proven wrong when the man introduced himself as the former "evil" scientist from the Tri-State Area, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

Little did Izuku know that this encounter would mark the beginning of a new life, a life away from his neglectful family, a life away from his toxic and abusive school life at Aldera, and finally, a new life that would help him realize that he does indeed possess the potential to be a pro-hero even without a quirk. By the time he returns to Musutafu several years later for the UA Entrance Exam, Izuku is confident and ready to show all those who doubted him that he can become a pro-hero, not through the power of a quirk, but rather through the products of his brilliant and creative mind.
