Honey's POV

I walked out of the restaurant and nearly bumped over an older man. I helped him up but realized it was someone pretending to be an old man. Someone I did not wanna see.
His brown hair glowed in the sunlight, and his blue eyes glimmered with admiration and love.
Great! Now I have an ex who is obsessed with me and follows me wherever I go!
I huff and try to walk away, but Mark stands in my path.

"Honey, please–"

"I already told you, Mark, to stop following me. We are done, and it's been a year. Move on."

"I can't move on, Honey. We are soulmates–"

"No, Mark..." I shoved him out of the way before scurrying away like a predator that stole meat from another animal.
I felt someone following me and watching me, and I screamed for my ex to go away and leave me alone.
Annoyance filled my body, and I wanted nothing more than to scream and rip my hair out.

"I will leave you alone if you go out to dinner with me."

"How about you tell that to the cops?" shock filled his eyes with a mixture of hurt.

"I know you still love me." I tried my best to cover my laugh but failed, and my tummy went up and down.

"I've been over you for almost a year, and I'm not afraid of holding a restraining order against you. Just because I'm your neighbor gives you no right to invade my privacy now, GO!"
👋
My feet led me to the police station nearby. It was rather quiet besides the odd visitor. Police men marched the building like they're the Kings of the castle. Each step making a marching sound. It sounded like a marching band only with no instruments. Police officers never scared me as a kid and if anything, I looked up to them. They risk their lives, trying to make sure the law stays enforced. Send those that deserve it behind bars. They are one of the true heroes in society.
When I was eight, a police officer gave me a ride in his vehicle and it was an experience I will never forget. The car, the lights, the sound, the traffic, and the way people reacted is all kept away like the other treasures of my memories. They brought the people that killed my adopted family to court. If only those people didn't take drugs, then Lou and Hallie would still be alive. If they didn't drink then I would still have a family but they are gone because of their egoistic behaviour, it caused others great pain.
My thoughts were interrupted with a bulk man with a brown, curly moustache walking by me with a smile and I return it.

"What can I do for you miss?"

I bit my lip. "Mark Thornton has been stalking me wherever I go and I want a restraining order."
🙏
I sigh a breath of relief knowing that my ex has no choice but to leave me alone. The door opened and I blinked a few times before I could believe who was in front of my eyes.
His gold-like-hair shimmered in the light, his blue eyes filled with excitement, a dusty white shirt covered his muscular body and jeans with Bergen stocks.
I fling my arms around him and started crying.

"Uhh, Honey... Why is the neighbour next door moving?" I explained everything before inviting him in.

"Welcome home, brother."
