Ivy graduated three months ago and was anxiously standing in her new room. Moving to college is hard. Especially when it's three hours away. Throughout the summer she hung out with the Cullens and her family. She and Carlisle flirted every time they saw each other. Ivy cried when she had to leave him. But he promised to visit her once a month along with the kids.

The first week of classes went smoothly and Ivy started a routine. Layla ended up being her roommate while Grace moved to Florida for Marine Biology. It was a hard goodbye, but the two women were happy for Grace and knew she would accomplish big things in life.

On the second week, all of the Cullen siblings stopped by claiming that they "missed her too much to be away from her for more than two weeks." Ivy was a bit upset that Carlisle wasn't there, but her mood changed when Jasper nudged her shoulder with his when they were in a gossip circle.

By the third week, she started to feel more comfortable around campus. She knew where all her classes were and even joined a few clubs. She made a few friends and didn't have trouble sleeping anymore.

At the beginning of her fourth week there she was upset. Carlisle still hasn't gone to visit her. She tried to distract herself from that as much as she could but it started to affect her. She started to think that she'd done something wrong.

"Dump him," Layla said while lying on her bed.

"What?" Ivy asked from her desk confused.

"Dump him! He hasn't seen you once since you moved here. You're getting depressed," Layla said.

"First of all, how did you know I was thinking of him? Second of all, he has work. Maybe he's busy. Third of all, we're not dating," Ivy said closing her laptop.

"He was all you talked about during summer!! Also, he would make time for you if he cared. I don't understand how you two aren't dating yet. If I were you I would've hopped on it the second he even looked at me," Layla said sitting up.

"You're gross."

"You were thinking it."

"No, I wasn't."

"Yes, you were."

"No, I wasn't."

"Yes, you were."

"No, I-," I was interrupted by a knock on our door.

Layla hopped up from her bed and opened the door with a smile on her face. Ivy couldn't see who was on the other side of the door from where she was sitting.

Layla glanced back at Ivy before speaking, "Why hello there Dr. Cullen. What brings you out here on this fine Friday afternoon?"

"Hi, Miss Bishop. I was just wondering if Miss Swan was around," he replied and Ivy smiled at the sound of his voice.

"Yea. She's in here," Layla said opening the door for him to come in, "I'm going to go take a shower, Ivy."

"Ok," Ivy replied knowing that it was just an excuse to let the two of them be alone. It's been a while since she was alone with Carlisle and her heart was hammering out of her chest. She felt all giddy whenever he was around.

Layla quickly left, but not without shooting Ivy a wink. As soon as the door closed Ivy looked at Carlisle and saw the troubled look on his face.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Bella didn't tell you?" He asked looking shocked.

"No? We haven't spoken since the morning of her birthday. Is everything okay?" Ivy asked worried for her sister.
