Jungkook's POV
As Alexander's fist connected with my jaw, pain exploded across my face, sending me staggering backward. I stumbled, trying to regain my balance as another blow landed, this time against my ribs. The force of the impact knocked the breath from my lungs, leaving me gasping for air.
"Stop!" I managed to choke out, my voice strained and desperate.
But Alexander wasn't done yet. He advanced on me with relentless fury, his fists raining down on me in a flurry of punches. Each blow felt like a hammer to my already bruised body, and I fought to stay on my feet despite the overwhelming pain.
"Alexander, please!" I pleaded, my voice tinged with agony. "This isn't the answer!"
Through the haze of agony, I could hear the distant sound of voices, shouts of alarm and protest.
"Enough, Alexander!" Namjoon's voice cut through the chaos, filled with authority and concern. "Stop this madness!"
But Alexander seemed deaf to reason, consumed by his rage.
I tried to fight back, to defend myself against Alexander's onslaught, but it was futile. He was too strong, too consumed by anger to be reasoned with. All I could do was endure the punishment, each blow driving home the gravity of my mistakes.
"Please..." I gasped, my vision swimming as darkness threatened to consume me.
Finally, mercifully, the onslaught came to an end. I collapsed to the ground, my body battered and broken, as Alexander stood over me, his chest heaving with exertion.
For a moment, we locked eyes, the weight of our shared pain hanging heavy in the air.
"Is this what you want?" I rasped, my voice barely above a whisper. "To beat me senseless?"
But Alexander said nothing, his expression unreadable as he turned and walked away, leaving me alone.
As the pain slowly dulled to a throbbing ache, I struggled to push myself upright, every movement sending waves of agony coursing through my battered body. With trembling hands, I reached for my phone, my fingers fumbling against the screen as I dialed Ariana's number.
The call went straight to voicemail, and a surge of disappointment washed over me. I had hoped to hear her voice, to seek solace in her words, but now, I was left alone with my pain.
As I sat alone in my hotel room, the weight of my actions bore down on me like a suffocating blanket. Guilt gnawed at my insides, twisting my stomach into knots as I replayed the events of the past few days in my mind.
I knew I had messed up. Badly.
A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts, causing me to startle. I hesitated for a moment before reluctantly getting up to answer it.
To my surprise, it was Alex standing on the other side, his expression unreadable. I tensed, bracing myself for whatever verbal lashing he was about to unleash.
But instead of berating me, he simply stared at me for a long moment, his gaze piercing. "You fucked up, Jungkook," he finally said, his voice low and stern.
I swallowed hard, unable to meet his gaze. "I know," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. "I messed up big time."
Alex let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "You think?" he snapped, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
I winced at his words, feeling the sting of his disappointment like a physical blow. "I'm sorry, Alex," I mumbled, unable to hide the shame in my voice. "I don't know what came over me."
