Author note: this is a bit short and rushed. I apologize. I just didn't want to miss posting something on Monday again. Life is one hell of a dumpster fire right now. But when is it not? Anyway, enjoy and I hope to write more this week!
Also, TW for a bit of blood and Self-harm (in the sense that Bad is neglecting himself.)

"The bastards are going to kill me, kill us all!" Bagi squirmed in the restraining arms of a bulky police officer.
"Ay, calm down! Calm down!" The officer wrestled with her until she was complacent, breathing heavily.
Bagi coughed. "They...they are going to kill me. They are...those fuckers are crazy! They aren't just transphobic or homophobic, they're– they're... how you say? Sadism."
"Sit back down." The officer gave her the opportunity to sit back in her seat. "Answer my original question. Do you know exactly where they were going to take Skeppy?"
"No, they would never tell me that!" Bagi punched the table. She was a feisty one when angry. "He's probably fucking dead! But I reported weird behavior months ago and nothing was done. So if they've fucking killed him, it's your fault! It's not my fault, I just want to live!"
🥤🧊🥤
There was dried blood on Bad's hands when he poured himself a glass of water. He plopped in only one ice cube because that's a silly thing Skeppy would do.
Bad sat down on the couch, this was self-care. Allowing himself to sit down.
The police have been searching for Skeppy for two more days now, since Bagi gave them a location. They searched the location and they couldn't find anything. No signs of life, no signs of death.
Bad looked down at his hands and the blood on the cup. He had cut himself by accident that morning. There were no bandages in the house, no clean cloths or towels. So, he let it bleed.
Hani cried from upstairs and Bad was quick to get up. No matter how miserable he was, he was not going to sacrifice is role as a dad.
Bad held the girl close to his chest and leaned on the wall. "What's wrong, muffin? Hungry?"
Hani nestled into Bad's chest. "Daddy."
"He's coming home." Bad said the lie to himself, he didn't think Hani would understand. But her head perked up and she giggled. She had absorbed a lot more language than Bad realized, she just hadn't used it.
"Well..." Bad cleared his throat. "I've officially lied to you..."
Hani kept giggling as Bad set her back in the crib. Splotches of his blood were now on her pajamas.
"Crap..." Bad huffed. "I'll put some clothes in the washer for you, Hani. Give me a second." Bad scooped up some of her dirty laundry and threw it in the washer. He washed it in plain warm water. He had no detergent left.

Bad was changing Hani when he got the phonecall.
"Move your arm." Bad groaned, gently forcing Hani's arm into her sleeve. "You're so stubborn already. What're your teenage years going to be like?"
Hani kicked her feet and laughed but she didn't know what was funny.
Bad's cellphone rang from the nightstand where it was being charged. He answered blindly like he often did these days.
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this Dr. Halo?"
"Uh, yes." Bad hadn't been refered to as Dr. Halo in awhile. He enjoyed it.
"We have an update for you..."
🏥🏥🏥
"You have to! That's my husband!" Bad was still in dirty clothes and appearance. Hani was freshly washed and dressed, a full stomach too. The only thing Bad did for himself was wrap a baby washcloth around his cut and secure it with a bit of tape. As well, he rinsed the dry blood off so he wouldn't be a walking biohazard for the hospital.
"Sir, I don't think you're in the right state." The nurse told him gently. "Let's give this some time. Maybe go home and shower, and find a babysitter."
"Right state?!" Bad growled. "My husband has been missing for over a week. I have no idea what happened or if he's going to be okay. Let me in!"
The nurse didn't have time to argue. There were other patients and impatient people. "Okay...but can you find someone to watch the baby? She can't go in."
Bad let out an exhausted sigh. "Please...can you watch her? I just need a second to see him I need this, please."
"Okay, a second..." The nurse took the baby and let Bad go in. Maybe she'd have more sympathy if she worked with Bad before. Anyone who had worked with Bad would know he wasn't usually a messy irrational person.
Skeppy had a couple monitors keeping track of him. He was being hydrated through an IV. That was all. Bad didn't know what he expected, but he expected something scarier. Something he couldn't handle.
Skeppy was asleep. His body was exhausted from no food and limited water for a week. Nobody had Skeppy's side of the story yet, but they would get it when he recovered.
"You're okay." Bad checked the monitors to make sure they were working accurately. He checked the IV line. "You're okay..." Bad wanted to reach out and touch Skeppy on his face or hand. "Sorry I'm such a mess right now." He apologized to himself.
Skeppy's eyes crept open halfway. He couldn't see anything past the blur.
"Oh! Skeppy, can you hear me?"
Skeppy made a small "hmm." Sound.
Bad leaned down and kissed Skeppy's cheek. "I'm so happy you're alive...I don't know what happened, but I'll make sure you get through it...I was so scared without you, I need you. You give my life so much meaning, darling..." Bad poured out all the emotion he had to bottle up when he was grieving.
The nurse knocked on the door, Hani tried to put her face in the window.
Bad kissed Skeppy's hand this time. "I have to go let you rest...but I will never go too far, okay?" Bad squeezed the hand that he had kissed. "As soon as you're feeling better, we're moving."
Bad left the room and collected his daughter. "Thank you so much."
The nurse nodded. "I have to get going. You should get home and take care of yourself. Everything is being handled here." The nurse left to continue her own day. No doubt she had her own chaos to handle.
Bad held Hani up to the tiny window in the door. "Daddy's not feeling good, but he's with us."
