Chapter 4

The next day everyone was hanging out at the base, and Gage and Starscream noticed that Knock Out who was still recovering from being attacked by Kaon the day before looked like he was feeling down about something.

"Hey KO what's wrong?" Gage asked the Aston Martin.

"When Kaon attacked me the other day he said if I had gone with Dreadwing and Breakdown on their mission to terminate Airachnid Breakdown might have survived and I'm just wondering if that's true and I really did let him down." Knock Out said sadly.

"Well I wouldn't listen to anything that D.J.D member said Knock Out he was just trying to get at you, That's how the Decepticon Justice Division operates they will say or do anything to try to break their victims and make them suffer your a great friend Knock Out and you didn't let anyone down." Starscream told his best friend.

"Breakdown wasn't just my partner he was my brother." Knock Out explained.

"I know what it feels like to lose a brother." Gage said to the red spots car sympathizing with him.

"Anytime time you need someone to talk to we're all here for you." Starscream promised him.

Knock Out smiled feeling touched that the two of them were trying to reassure him and happy to have friends who were there for him.

Meanwhile Shayna was walking around outside the base enjoying the pretty day it was outside she saw Windblade was getting in some flight practice, While Smokescreen had been roped into driving Agent Schloder, Agent Knight and Agent Fowler somewhere.

Then she noticed Megatron who was standing by himself and looked like he was in deep thought about something.

"Hey penny for your thoughts?" She asked him.

"What use could I possibly have for your Earth currency?" Megatron asked confused.

"It's just an expansion meaning what's on your mind." She explained.

"Don't worry as someone on the spectrum I take things literally sometimes too." She added with both of them now feeling awkward.

"I just feel bad about how I treated Starscream during the war and yesterday I've always mistreated him and I was shocked to learn it was his idea for me to be leader of this team during the war he always wanted to be leader but apparently he's moved past that," Megatron explained.

"I actually think he would make the better leader for this team because he's changed for the better and saved Knock Out's life yesterday and all I did was not give Starscream the benefit of a doubt, hurt his feelings, Let him fly off and Knock Out go after him and both of them could have been killed, Not to mention I'm not only the one who trained the members of the D.J.D but I started the war that threatened both Cybertron and Earth,"

"Instead of fighting we should have been working together, I just wanted to bring equality to Cybertron and do away with the cast system but I let jealousy and ambition blind me peace through tyranny doesn't work and I realize that now only after all the harm I caused." Megatron finished.

"Hey realizing and admitting that you did something wrong is the first step to fixing it and everyone deserves a second chance, I think you should talk to Starscream so the two of you can make amends and started over and be friends." Shayna said to him.

"But would he even hear me out?" Megatron asked. "After everything I did to him do you think he could ever forgive me?"

"Well you never know unless you ask him and I think there's a good chance he will when he sees you mean it." Shayna told him.

"Thanks I'll go apologize to him now." Megatron agreed.

"I'm glad to help." She replied as she watched him go in the base.

Starscream had gone to the roof of the base and was looking at the sky, When Windblade joined him and she could tell the seeker had something on his mind.

"Knock Out and Gage were talking about their bothers and it made me think of my trine and when Vos fell." Starscream explained.

"The seeker capital?" Windblade asked. "Since I'm from Camanus I never got to see it but I heard it was beautiful."

"It was but I guess everyone thinks that about their home." Starscream replied as he shook the memory of it's destruction from his mind, which he considered to be the worst day of his life.

Windblade hugged him seeing that he needed comforting and the two looked into each other's optics as if they were about to kiss when Soundwave decided to play a joke on them and started playing romantic music and made them both jump and pull away from each other and then quickly compose themselves, Much to the slender mech's amusement.

Then they both went back inside the base and smiled at each other before splitting up in the hallway.

Then Starscream ran into Megatron.

"Starscream I'm so sorry about how I've treated you during the war and yesterday." Megatron apologized to the seeker.

"It's ok I forgive you and everyone deserves a second chance." Starscream accepted his apology.

"So what would you have been if not for the cast system and if you could've been anything?" The seeker asked.

"I would've been a medic." Megatron answered him much to his surprise.

"I can teach you anything about that you wanna know." Offered Knock Out who was on his way to get a cube of energon and happened to overhear then he almost fell over.

"Guess I shouldn't be up yet." The Aston Martin said sheepishly having not fully recovered yet.

Then Starscream and Megatron helped him back to the berth, both glad to have made up.
