"So you two are finally together?" Yeosang asked casually as he settled onto the couch.

Soomin nodded, a hint of surprise in her voice. "Yeah, it's kind of unexpected."

Yunho flashed a warm smile in agreement.

"You should call Dahyun and share the news! She'll be thrilled!" Seonghwa chimed in enthusiastically.

Soomin agreed and reached for her phone, dialing Dahyun's number.

"Hello? Oh, hi Soomin! It's been a while!"

"Hey, Dahyun! Missed you loads. I've got some news."

"Let me guess, is it about you and Yunho?"

Soomin chuckled nervously. "How did you know?"

"Oh, come on, you know you wouldn't call just for small talk. So spill the tea! Are you guys officially a thing now?"

"Yep, surprisingly, yes."

Dahyun's laughter bubbled through the phone. "I'm so happy for you two! You make such a cute couple."

"Thanks, Dahyun!"

After a bit more catching up, they said their goodbyes as Dahyun had to attend to her busy schedule.

"Now you two still have a dilemma," San mentioned, his voice tinged with concern.

"What dilemma?" Yunho inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Your dad," Wooyoung remarked casually.

Yunho's heart sank as the realization dawned on him. How is he gonna tell his father about everything?

"We're dead, aren't we?" Soomin sighed, sinking into the couch.

"Wait, wasn't Mom and Mr. Jeong close friends back in the day?" Mingi interjected, rising from his seat, reaching for his phone to call his mother.

"Yeah, they were actually!" Soomin exclaimed, a glimmer of hope lighting up the room.

Mingi quickly dialed Narin's number, hoping she could provide some insight into how to approach Yunho's father about their relationship.

"Mom, do you remember Mr. Jeong, Yunho's dad?" he asked as soon as she picked up.

"Of course, dear. What about him?"

"Well, Yunho and Soomin are together now, and we're worried about how he will react. Do you think he might be more understanding considering his friendship with you?"

There was a moment of silence on the other end before Narin replied, "I think it's worth a shot. I will talk to him and see if I can help smooth things over as soon as I finish work."

Mingi relayed the news to the group, and they all breathed a collective sigh of relief. Maybe Yunho's father wouldn't be as opposed to their relationship as they feared.

As Narin finished work she decided to help Soomin and went directly to Joshua's house to talk to him face to face.

She got there and knocked on the door.

"Yes? How can I help- Wait Narin?" The man exclaimed as his expression softened.

"Hi, Joshua. Can we talk about something, please?" Narin asked.

"Sure, come on in."

She smiled and stepped inside, taking in her surroundings.

"Have a seat. Would you like something to drink?"

"No, thank you. So, um... I need to discuss a sensitive matter with you," Narin began, letting out a sigh.

"Is it about Yunho? Did he do something?" Joshua's tone hinted at growing frustration.

"Yes, it's about him. You know he recently ended things with Dahyun. Well, he's now in a relationship with my daughter, Soomin. They were hesitant to tell you, fearing your reaction, so they asked for my help since we two are old friends," Narin explained, her voice wavering slightly.

Joshua's expression darkened at the mention of Soomin's name. His feelings towards her were clear.

"Soomin is your daughter...?" he asked, taken aback.

"Yes, didn't you know?"

"Well... I'm not sure if I can support their relationship. Honestly, I've never been fond of her. I've always felt she played a role in Yunho's depression months ago and his subsequent breakup with Dahyun," Joshua admitted, his tone blunt.

"Weren't you approving his relationship with Dahyun only because her dad is a CEO?"

"Money are always the solution. You know it, Narin."

"And I also know you liked me but didn't date me because of my financial status and your standards were quite high," Narin said and crossed her arms.

Joshua fell silent, the truth of her words sinking in.

The woman sighed. "Do me a favor and please let them be. They both went through that depression because of each other's feelings."

The tall man remained silent for a moment, his thoughts swirling with conflicting emotions.

Finally, he spoke, his voice softer this time. "I'll try to set aside my feelings and support them if it makes Yunho happy. But I can't promise it'll be easy."

Narin nodded, grateful for his willingness to consider their happiness. "Thank you, Joshua. It means a lot to them, and to me."

With that, they concluded their conversation, both feeling a sense of resolution and hope.
