The Marauders quidditch match

Chapter 2 the dorm

In the dorm that night James had invited everyone, everyone that was there friends of course. All the girls came and of course James nearly jumped out his skin when he saw Lilly. To Sirius's disappointment Reggie wasn't there even though he'd invited him, he'd probably torn up the letter Marlene came though and that meant Dorcas too. Remus was kind enough to share some chocolate even though he wasn't exactly a fan of that, James and Peter brought the rest.
"So Evans, me, you, Hogsmead this weekend?"
"No" Lilly said walking off to find Mary
"One day you will say yes" James shouted after her
"That day is very long time away" Lilly yelled back
"But it's coming" James continued hopefully. Lilly just shot him a glance that said 'shut up'.
"So Remus, quidditch trials" Sirius said
"Uh yeah" Remus replied
"Don't worry I'm sure you'll get in, your great on a broom"
"I'm not"
"Yeah you are, come on you'd be a great player"
"About as elegant as phoenix in water"
"Shush"Sirius said putting his finger on Remus's lip. After that it became awkward and both boys just walked away.
Peter was in a corner reading a book and Remus went over and did the same. Marlene was braiding Dorcas's hair, Mary, Lilly and Sirius were all doing there makeup (Sirius was doing eyeliner) and James was watching Lilly and eating Remus's chocolate. That was all until someone had the smart idea to ply spin the bottle.
"Hey, let's play spin the bottle" Marlene suggested. Most were more than happy, Remus was reluctant but Sirius had convinced him "oh come on Remus, please" Remus could never turn down those puppy dog eyes that Sirius was so good at.
"Fine" Remus sighed annoyed. Peter just all round rejected the idea and went to bed after that.
"I'll go first" Marlene said after James placed an empty potion bottle on the table. It spun and landed on Mary the two kissed and then giggle. James spun it as he was next it landed on Marlene much to his disappointment, they kissed but neither were impressed. Lilly spun next and it landed on James he was thrilled and she went to kiss him but avoided his face and pecked his cheek there were cheers of
"Oh don't be cruel"
"Ha"
"Oh James"
Next it was Sirius and he landed on Mary the two kissed awkwardly and then quickly stopped after less than half a second. It was Remus's turn next and he wasn't pleased but spun it anyway, it landed on Sirius. Remus hesitated and so did Sirius
"Oh go on kiss" and then everyone began with chants of "kiss,kiss,kiss,kiss!.." Sirius stared joking
"Oh come on Remus, just kiss me" but it all got to much, "screw this game!" Remus said storming out. Soon after everyone left, but Remus didn't sleep that night he just went away and cried on his own in secret.
