Chapter 3 Potions and Problems

It was the morning after and Remus had snuck out off of the dorm pretty early after last nights episode. He knew he couldn't put off seeing the boys forever but as long as possible would be good enough for him.
He ended up in the library reading fantastic beasts and where to find them. Again. He was just about to get to the page on mountain trolls when Peter walked into the library, if he had to see anyone Remus was almost glad it was him. Remus didn't even try to hide but just smiled at Peter who approached him.
"Remus! Didn't think I'd find you in here"
"I needed to get away from it all"
"Right, I'd have done the same you know" Peter remarked
"It's wasn't exactly I didn't want to, it was just pressured and I've never well, you know"
"Me too, there's no timeline on these things you know"
"It feels like it sometimes"
The two of them just went on completing there homework and doing any extra projects they'd been working on. Peter left for breakfast after an hour or so later but Remus stayed. It was only when lesson started that he knew he had to face the music.
It was potions class and they had to work in groups of four to make a sleeping draft, of course everyone else already had there groups, Remus tried to go with the girls but there professor was only to quick to say
"Work with the boys Mr Lupin" so reluctantly he went over to James, Sirius and Peter. James was the first to speak
"Look Remus we're sorry didn't mean to pressure you or anything"
"Yeah, no big deal" Sirius said putting his arm around Remus which made him flush red
"Thanks , i just wanted my first time-"
"First time!" Sirius exclaimed
"Keep your voice down will you!" Remus whispered passive aggressively
"Remus Lupin you have never kissed anyone? Not even once?"
"Uh no?" Remus said feeling almost ashamed
"Well that sorts it, I'm getting you a girlfriend and your gonna snog her like there's no tomorrow" Sirius said his voice at a reasonable level
"Ew" Remus joked although the words almost hurt a little coming from Sirius. The rest of the boys hid behind the cauldron hiding there laughter.
It was after the class had cleared that Sirius finally got a moment alone with his brother, they hadn't spoken since the start of summer and had only seen each other at the platform, not that the encounter had been one of brotherly love.
"Reggie!" Sirius said helping his brother pack away his books
"Fuck off, Sirius" Regulus said shoving his brother away
"Fine, I'm sorry Reggie that I left you. I just couldn't stay you know that"
"Do I?" Reggie remarked sarcastically
"Well yeah, I always stay at the Potter plus I never want to stay at the house"
"You think I wanted to! You think I had a choice! No because I don't just get to escape to my friends house whenever I feel like it! I don't get to leave in the black of the night and still sleep in a warm bed"
"You could come with me"
"No, I can't!" Regulus yelled back "you friends hate me, don't pretend they don't. I'm not exactly easy to like Sirius"
Sirius paused for a minute noticing the sizeable purple bruise on Regulus's arm
"When?" Sirius asked shamefully looking at the bruise
"A few nights ago" Reggie muttered "mother was angry you didn't come back"
"Reggie, I'm sorry"
"It's-it's not your fault" Regulus said hugging his brother "I'm sorry too". Both the brothers then proceeded to leave the classroom.
