"If you look to our right you'll see our creative writing club" Caroline introduces

Josie and I quickly sit up to see Caroline and Aunt Freya.

"Hi Aunt Freya." I look up at her.

"Hello Hope" she smiles mischievously but I can see a hint of concern about why she's here.

"Friday Detention you guys know the rules" Caroline crosses her arms.

"Mom we were just taking our lunch out there's nothing in the rules about that." Josie pleaded

"A five hour lunch break is generous."Caroline comments

Freya sharply grins at Josie.

"Well I was coming to get you to tell you your aunt was taking you out of school for the rest of the day. I sent out an email and Mr. Lennon said you were baking a cake for the Creative Writing Club. Which Mrs. Cleve thought was hilarious because she teaches English and she knows nothing of a creative writing club. So I tracked Josie's phone and I hoped that it was an outdoor meeting of the Creative Writing Club and Hope would be there too."

"We really should have a creative writing club though like genuinely." I unhelpfully add.

"Just go with your Aunt, Hope" Caroline sighs.

I help Josie clean up the remains of our picnic with Caroline.

"No more creative writing club during school hours you two. " Caroline puts everything back into the bag and Josie throws the blanket over her shoulder.

After they both leave Freya says "This has certainly been a blast from the past."

"Aunt Freya" I get up and hug her. " I missed you"

"Any guess why I'm here, you haven't been selling people spells or fighting other students. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to see you again and that headmistress seems way more fun than Alaric"

My heart drops it makes me so glad she doesn't have supernatural hearing.

"I'm not sure" I lie. I just don't want to start this conversation with her.

"Anyways what I'm assuming you are wondering is if Keelin and Nic are here too and it's a yes and no. Keelin is here too but Nic and is back with Griffin."

"It'll be nice to see her again too it's been a long time."

"I know it has, I've just been busy lately and that's not an excuse but it's been so long." She hugs me and I hug her back. "I was thinking you, Keelin, and me could grab dinner and we could do whatever until dinner time if it were up to me and we'd catch up about the girl you were trying to seduce."

"I wasn't seducing Josie, we're just friends and we were just talking." I put my hand in my pockets and climb into Freya's car.

"Since when do you talk to anyone unless you really really like them" she teases.

"I don't know the timing would just be wrong we're just friends."  I squint into the sun.

"You're both two young and beautiful girls the time is never wrong. How could the timing possibly be wrong. She's the headmistress's daughter not some Neo Nazi Vampire. He was pretty but you two didn't seem similarly suited but you and dimples seemed adorable and just very pure hearted."

"Dimples?!" I laugh

"Yeah when she smiles she has dimples it's adorable don't tell me you didn't know that when we both caught you like staring into each others souls."

"The timing isn't write" I gripe.

"Timing is never right that's what I realized when Keelin was walking away from me and about to go. Learn sooner rather than later hope. Don't let your girl walk away."

"That's so mushy." I tuck my knees to my chest.

"But it's true and you know it." She pops a piece of gum in her mouth.
