The sound of the running gets closer as I see the top of a figure dashing through the crowd, dodging and weaving through the fray. Several people yelp and shift as the unknown person shoves themselves through the group.
"Sorry! Pardon me! Sorry! Oh, excuse me! Coming through!"
The individual bursts out of the crowd and halts at the cusp of the group, taking a moment to desperately regain their breath.
The unknown individual seems to succeed in getting some strength, as they whip back up and scan all around, obviously looking for something.I squint at the unknown person for a few moments, with my brow scrunched at my eyes.
Though not for long, as I soon realise in shock that it's actually 4663 again. She's probably been running through this place trying to look for me after I left, mad at me for something. I'll be heavily surprised if she didn't find me from my crazed screaming before.
I freak out and clamber back to my feet, trying to lift the book to my new height. My feet stamp to the ground as I attempt a running start to begin bolting back into the market from earlier.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE!"
4663 fiercely yells out to get my attention. Or to freak me out more. Either way, I need to make a damn run for it.
She sounds especially angry, so I speed up as fast as I can go, and listen in terror as she rushes after me in pursuit.
I race down the tunnel to the right, arriving back at the door that I walked through to sit down before long.
I yank at the knob and bash the door open with the book as a makeshift battering ram. I round the corner into the left aisle of markets and shops. I'm not fast enough, and 4663 somehow catches the last glimpse of my pointed tail whipping around the wall, immediately heading my way again.
I suddenly find myself back in the sea of 'UD's', and leap up into the air to get some leverage on 4663.
I am quite foolhardy in my ascent into flight, even still managing to hit some very dumb person with my tail, even when trying to prevent myself from being seen as an asshole here too.
The kick off is made even harder for my 'flawless' physique, obviously entirely because of the book of truth I have bouncing around in my grasp.
All 4663 below me can do is try her very best to push past the people below, also still spewing multiple apologies a second.
"Sorry! GAH- Sorry, sorry! Excuse me!"
Now 'stable' and 'upright' in the air, I swivel my head to try and catch the exit through the shifting colours and garments, before at last seeing an opening a short distance down this aisle.
I speed up my flight above the crowd, and frantically flick back to see what 4663 is trying to do. My mouth sputters in desperation as I notice that she's preparing a tiny makeshift slingshot.
"YAAGH!!" I yelp again, as my flight path stumbles to the side. In preparation for the attack, I preemptively start to dodge as I fumble through the air.
I look again behind me, as she puts something hard in the pouch for firing and pulls back.
She aims it at my position carefully, just before I refocus on my flight path and look away. As a faint sound emits from her slingshot, I sloppily dodge at what I think is the right time, knocking into one of the hanging signs on accident.
After returning back to where I was, only then does the projectile hit me, impacting and sending me careening into the crowd like a really bad flammable flying machine.
