A very basic explanation of the concepts unique to the world of LittleBigPlanet that probably needs more context to start to make sense.
Craftworld
The planet on which Dimension of Perfection takes place. The center of the Imagisphere. Created from household materials and craft tropes, it contains unique regions based off of human history
Imagisphere
A seperate realm of existence so small that it cannot be seen. Dreams, thoughts, and ideas float away into the Imagisphere, and congregate into unique people worlds, planets, machines, and much more.
Sackperson
A creature reminiscent of a knit doll created from the imaginings of humans, and main inhabitants of Craftworld.
The Knitted Knights
A group of Sackpeople Knighted by the King of Loom, that serve as a pseudo-military trained better than soldiers.
Sackboy, the main protagonist of LittleBigPlanet, is one of them.
Creator Curator
The title given to the caretaker of a country who builds alot of the ideas and styles seen in the country. A Creator has access to all Create Mode utilities to tend to the country they curate, and their thoughts can culminate into the things the create.
The Negativitron Situation
A period at the end of 2011, where a large celestial vacuum cleaner comprised by negative energy wrecked havoc on Craftworld and stole the plant's creative energy for itself.
The Alliance
A task force of Creator Curators and notable figures along with the Knitted Knights that were crucial in destroying the Negativitron, and later protecting Craftworld from future threats.
The Hoard Crisis
A period at the end of 2012, where tiny creatures from space invaded Craftworld to steal whatever they could and bring it back to their home planet.
Create Mode, The Tastinator, The Popit, Prize Bubble, A Blank Background
All of these are related to the practice of creating adventures and 'levels' in an altered state of reality called Create Mode. These tools have mostly been released from their usual create mode home seperate from Craftworld, allowing them to be used on Craftworld's surface..
The Popit
A type of tool used to manipulate your surroundings in any way possible. It is restricted by you having to have created something first to manipulate it. They can be used to create prize bubbles, and have the ability to save or capture objects to be copied or used later. The prize bubbles, upon cracking it open, release the object or prize inside into your menu. Your menu is usually used for creating objects and environments, and allow you to access other abilities usually restricted to the altered state of Create mode.
The Tastinator
A device stuck onto an object to give it an artificial taste.
Blank Background
A Background is used in Create mode to create basic scenery for anything you make. A Blank Background features the floor, the sky, and nothing else.
Sackbot
An Artificial Intelligence robot made of wood and themed after Sackpeople.
Avalonia
A vast Neo-Futuristic, super clean, white and blue city that we begin our story in.
The Metropolis
A spoof on New York and a large metropolitan city.
The Progress Emporium
A retro 50s American capitalist hell of a city dedicated to bringing the future to the present.
The Gardens
An English countryside themed after medievel times.
