Thus, in the end the officers had again reached a dead end and their only hope to find the killer was to track Sana's family. However, due to the scandal the records of the World's Voice were deleted so tracing Sana's family was like finding a twig in a stack of hay. When Aman brought a photo of Sana, they noticed that she had a tattoo of a quote "We the family are enough" along with scorpion design. When Hillary and others saw the tattoo, they felt that the land under their feet had disappeared. They revealed to the police that their friend Kai had the same quote tattoo with a scorpion design on his arm and that he too was 15 years old which would the present age of be Sana's brother. Although it could be a mere coincidence fortwo people to have the same quote tattooed on their arms as well as the age of the person, still the police could not leave any stone unturned and thus they ordered them to call Kai to the guest house. When Kai's friends told him to come to Ayodhya as there was something very urgent however they could not go into details as they were told by the officers, Kai said that he would meet them soon and saying this he packed his things and headed to the airport to catch a flight to Ayodhya. When Kai reached the guest house to his friends the police interrogated him and asked him about his tattoo, but they didn't tell him the reason of the interrogation. Kai casually replied that the tattoo was just a family heirloom, when they asked Kai about his family, he replied that he lived alone with his 78-year-old paternal grandfather. During the interrogation when Kai was asked if he had an elder sister then maybe Kai understood everything and asked if they found his elder sister Sana. Everyone was shell shocked at this statement even Kai's friends. In the end Kai told his side of the story.
