Chapter Six

Flowers as far as the eye could see. Reyna stood in the endless flower field. "Beautiful isn't it?" said the voice of Apollo.

Reyna looked around. "Show yourself!" she shouted. The voice of Apollo laughed and in a cloud of golden mist Apollo appeared before Reyna. "What is the meaning of this?" Reyna demanded.

"Walk with me." Apollo said calmly as he walked past Reyna and much to her surprise she followed. Hitching up the long skirts of her dress. While Apollo walked gracefully in his toga.

"Its just a dream isn't it?" Reyna asked.

Apollo sighed. "Yes its only a dream, in reality I'm on Olympus and you are in bed with your husband. This is the best and safest way we can meet."

"What are you talking about?" Reyna asked, confused. "You say husband as if it were a dangerous word."

"Tell me then. Has Jason given you everything you wanted?" Apollo asked.

"Yes he has." Reyna said simply.

"Oh but Reyna imagine all the things you could have on Olympus." Apollo said dramatically.

"This is nonsense. My place is here in camp." Reyna said.

"You're right, but it doesn't have to be." Apollo said. He stopped walking and offered his hand to Reyna. "Come with me. Become immortal and I can show you the whole world without having to worry about monsters."

Reyna looked down at Apollo's hand and back at Apollo. "No."

"No?" Apollo questioned his expression becoming sinister.

"No." Reyna repeated firmly.

"I was hoping you would say yes. You see Reyna, our fates are intertwined." Apollo said.

"What do you mean?" Reyna asked quietly.

Apollo laughed coldly. "You'll see soon enough."

It was five in the morning when Reyna woke in a cold sweat. She sat up and scanned her surroundings in the dimly lit room. She was in her's and Jason's bedroom sitting on the bed in a simple shirt and shorts. Jason laid asleep next to Reyna. Confused and scared she got out of bed carefully not to wake Jason. Reyna left the house and made her way to find the one person who could help.

Pushing open the infirmary door Reyna found a son of Apollo in his office. Reyna knocked on the doorframe softly. Will looked over. "Reyna, come in. what are you doing here at this time?" he asked, sounding slightly worried. Reyna took a seat at one of the chairs in front of Will's desk.

"I need to talk to you." Reyna said her voice filled with unease. Concern etched Will's features. "What's wrong?"

Reyna hesitated and the endless flower field flashed in the back of her mind. "I've been having dreams. The same one over and over and over again." she recountered the dreams and Will listened. His jaw clenched at Apollo's name.

"We need to figure this out." Will asserted, his healer instincts kicking in.

The silence was almost deafening except from the quiet hum of the medical equipment in the room. As Will examined Reyna, conducting many tests, a realization settled upon him and his expression became anger. He sighed. "I don't know how to say this."

"You can tell me." Reyna said softly.

"You're 10 weeks pregnant. Apollo used magic. Its not a normal conception." Will revealed.
