It's nerve wracking, the feeling that over comes him as each small box fills the corners of his once solitary room. Of course his first instinct is to kick them back out the door he put them through but denying the pull would be futile at this point.
Pride fills Ghost as each small article is laid neatly within drawers. Questions hitting him all once.
Would you two always stay at base? Is there such thing as a divorce in this situation? What if he had already gotten way too attached to something so delicate.
Something that could easily light a flame and burn to ashes if one wrong move was made.
His chest tightened, the anxiety of the unknown slowly eating at the interior of the hardened shell of a human he is.
The click of the door had calloused fingers sliding the drawers back shut, peering over his shoulder hearing not one but two familiar voices going back and forth.
"-Aye lass, but trust me he'll-" the Scott's words cut off as you and him stood frozen in the door with Ghosts eyes darting between you both. Sensing the atmosphere shift to an uncomfortable feeling Ghosts hands went to his pockets as he shifted on his feet.
It took everything to not do what he knew how to do best and push you away but instead his steps stayed steady, eyes never leaving his friends as he pulled a hand from his pocket to cup your cheek and pull your attention up to him.
"Get everything you went after?" Ghost could feel the confusion radiating off your skin as he didn't spare a glance in your direction, too focused on making sure that no matter how close he was with someone that they'd know exactly who you belonged to.
Ghosts gaze finally flicked to yours, feeling the way your head pulled slightly from his grasp. Eyes darting between yours, he knew there was a universe laying below those irises. One he'd gladly spend decades exploring. Leaving every star that was set in you.
You cleared your throat awkwardly, a small blush climbing from your neck to your cheeks. His stare was intense making the world around seem to still, breathing suddenly becoming a foreign thing.
"'Uh- yeah, imma keep the dress in Johnnys room. You'll have to get the suit you want. I didn't know your size." Ghost quickly caught onto the words lying breath the statement.
I don't know you.
It no matter though, you will. One way or another he'll make sure of it. The clearing of soaps throat got ignored, ghost curled his fingers behind the nape of your neck bringing your forehead to his lips before gesturing behind him so you could put up whatever the hell you were toting in the large bags cradled in palms.
"Figured while she got settled in, we could go get your stuff. Some man time, hell maybe even a bachelor party while we're at it." The Scott laughed shooting a nervous look in your direction as if you'd be able to save him from the stare your soon to be husband was shooting him.
Ghosts lips curled hearing your soft laugh behind him, judging by the look on his friends face he could only visualize how your lips were mouthing the words "good luck" behind him.
Just like before, any fear he could've held about this situation seemed to vanish. That in itself should've had him running towards the hills yet his feet stayed firmly planted, a large palm thumping against his colleagues shoulder to try and ease his tension.
"'Let's fuckin' go then, shall we?" Ghost mumbled, trying to hide the amusement in his voice.
Ghosts body jerked when he felt nimble fingers glide along the waist of his jeans until they reached into the pocket of his pants.
"What the hell are you doing?" He snapped, turning to face you. The sly grin on your face as you slid his card back into his wallet filled him with the urge to both strangle your for touching his ass and kiss you for being too damn adorable.
It made him wonder how such delicate features had seen war. How silky skin had ever been drenched in red. How shining stars never fell from your eyes with the horrors you had seen.
"You'll need your card back for the suit.. and whatever sleepy two star strip club you'll be going to." You hummed through a taunt, exiting his wallet back to him. Soap gasped as if the taunt insulted him and his choice of a party personally.
"You're going to be the death of me."
