Metal benches lined in white cloth created a perfect isle down the open field. Ghost should've known you wouldn't have chose something extravagant, for that he was grateful, because to him it was perfect.
Just enough clouds to keep the sun from blinding anyone, and the perfect breeze to where you could smell the trees over the buzzing base a few yards away.
Ghost shifted on his feet, fingers itching to pull out a cigarette and ease the nerves of all the eyes that stayed on him.
"Stop lookin so nervous son, you're gonna make me get antsy." Price mumbled, from the center.
Only request that was made to price was that he'd ordain the ordeal. "He's already made me nervous just by standing by him." Gaz pitched in, pulling his collar from his neck.
Ghost let out an annoyed grunt, tilting his head back until a crack alleviated some of the pressure in his neck. Rubbing his palms to his pants to rid the damp skin, he froze.
Soap stood motionless at the end of the aisle, a nervous smile on his lips as he shifted on his feet. The crowd stood, curious whispers and awkward glances shot in Ghosts direction as the bride was no where to be seen.
Ghosts eyes narrowed on soap, zoning in on any move he could make or any word he could speak to be met with only a tilt of soaps head behind him.
Soap waved his hand clearly getting annoyed until white came into view. Long elegant and lace dripping from the trail until it formed solid into the silk fitting every curve that Ghost realized he didn't take enough time to memorize.
If Ghost thought he couldn't breath then, he was wrong.
Air refused to fill his lungs as his eyes trailed the length until they locked onto golden kissed features, head tilted down towards the arrangement of flowers in your hand.
Your hair tangled with your veil as a breeze pushed through the air, the soft melody of the music behind guiding your feet to move in the direction you never thought you'd take.
Ghosts.. no.. Simon. He was always Simon for you, never ghost. That was one promise he was sure to always keep.
Simons features softened, chin tilting up as an unfamiliar feeling prodded at the corner of his eyes.
Your gaze tilted to his, that same soft smile he wanted so desperately tried to hate melting him into a puddle. Heart racing a thousand miles per minuet, his hand extended allowing yours to graze his palm until your fingers wrapped lightly around his hand.
Soap took his place behind you as Price started to ramble on to whatever. Simon could care less the words that were being spoken, too focused on the beautiful flower he held in his hand.
Leaning in he allowed your finger to wipe away the single wet streak he didn't even realize had made a trail down his cheek. Your eyes soft, holding all the stars to his sky.
The nudge on his shoulder pulled him to reality his mouth forming words before he could even think.
"My annoying tea thief..."
Simon started, smiling as your eyes narrowed at him.
"If you would've asked me a month ago if I'd be standing here today I'd tell you every way I'd make it possible so I wouldn't."
Swallowing hard, he took a breath, his hand tightening around yours, forcing you to focus only on him.
"But you wrecked everything, like a damn meteor crashing into my world. You destroyed any barrier that could've kept you at arms length and for that I'm the luckiest man in the world. You can have all my tea, steal any of my clothes, hog the sheets, but most of all you can keep the heart you so easily stole."
Simon's lips pulled into a small grin, hand raising to cup your cheek.
"I know where I stand. My spot will always be by the woman I was determined to not love. By the woman who made me human. By the woman I'll gladly have under me every night for the rest of my life."
His thumb grazed your cheek bone, refusing the tears to smear the makeup.
"I will be your shadow in the corner for as long as you'll allow me, and even then I'll stay."
Price continued after Simon knowing all too well how you'd already accepted where you wanted to be. Simon's eyes stayed on yours, despite the urge he had to smack soap from behind you as he heard him sniffle.
Soap handed you the black skull engraved titanium ring as Gaz handed Simon the dainty diamond encrusted band.
Allowing them to slide on with ease, you both stayed focused on the motions.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Price beamed, causing Simon's eyes to lock back onto yours. Crinkles forming at the corner of his eyes while his hands cupped your cheeks.
"What the hell have you done to me love?" Simon mumbled a hair away from your lips. Not allowing you to answer he stole your breath as his lips captured your own.
The crowd erupted, applause and whistling traveling with the rustle of the leaves that blew across the grass.
The world stopped, frozen in time allowing this moment to forever be set in stone. Lips tangled, deaf to all noises around and solely focused on the sparks that went firing.
Slowly Simon pulled away enough to rest his head against yours, giving you a chance to breath despite his urge to take every last breath you took and keep it for himself.
Sparkling eyes locked onto his, giving the go ahead to where he placed a kiss to your head. Hand intertwined with yours, his thumb brushed over the warming band around your finger as you faced the crowd.
