Alex went to wash her face after she slipped into her cabin to get a fresh set of uniform to shower. Then she slipped back in to put her things away. Alex went out for a short run before heading to the mess hall. Alex entered the messhall and all heads turn to her. Alex just walked straight on like she never noticed them at all. She didn't. She was a little too upset to care. She was wishing for a mission, someone to come and kidnap her. Whatever! Just someone or something to kill her! She has never been so heartbroken and hurt before. Is this what heartbreak feels like?
(P.s. I have never actually dated before so I'm guessing what it feels like.)
She grabbed an apple before sitting down at K-unit's table scrolling through her phone. "What happened?"
"I bet Jace broke up with that slut. He finally realised that she's a big fat lying bitch."
"Is she okay?"
"I hope she'll get over it. She's really strong." Different comments from different people can be heard throughout the messhall. Suddenly Mia walked towards her with a phone in hand. "My dad wants to talk to you." She said smugly as she put the phone on the table, waiting for Alex to take it and get the scolding of her life outside. But no! She clicked the speaker button before saying her greetings. "Mr. Velazquez, to what do I owe this pleasure?"
Every chatter ceased. Who is she talking to? "How do you know who I am?"
"You doubt my abilities. I'm saddened Mr. V, the codename's Hunter."
"Oh. Hohoho." The man's laughter lightened the tension slightly. Mia stared in absolute shock. How did they know each other?!
"How have you been, Hunter?"
"Pretty good. So what do you want to speak to me about?"
"Well, my daughter said she wants to be a spy. Like you."
"No offense but I doubt that brat can survive." Alex said and saw Mia fumed. "That's true but do you think we should give her a chance?"
"Well... she's here at the SAS. If I don't hear her complain I might consider giving her that chance but right now she had no respect for her peers, and she's a complain queen. She'll get herself killed before she can start any mission." Alex said as she turned back to her phone. "Agreed. She has been treating you badly hasn't she?"
"Let me see... Being drenched in ice cold water, being pelted at with rocks. That's very nice of her. I feel all warm and fuzzy with her welcome." Alex said sarcastically. "All her bodyguards are losing their touch. They didn't even notice that sniper that tried to kill her."
"Ah. I'll look into that. Will you be coming over?"
"I'll see if I'm free... Where's Seth anyways?"
"He's on a mission." She spared a glance at the door just as the door open and a soldier walked in with a brown folder. "A mission that got him caught." Alex commented as she looked up from her phone to see the soldier talking to the sarge and then coming over to pass her the folder. "Yep. He got caught." Alex confirmed as she stood up. "Call me from my phone." Alex said before hanging up from Mia's phone. "I so wish my Kawasaki was here."
"Actually it is. MI6 arranged for it to be shipped here, Madame."
"Thank you. I'll be back by noon sir." Alex said to sarge. "Don't worry, take your time." He said as he watched the soldier put a case onto the floor for Alex to open. She opened it to reveal a rifle. Alex assembled the rifle and slung it over her shoulder and took the ammunition into her pocket. She then retrieved her bike keys and helmet from the the waiting soldier. She strolled out with the rifle behind her like it was a normal thing to do so.
