Alex was being dragged into a store with guitars, bike stuff and bikes. Nice. Alex thought as she scanned the area. One, for what is in the store. Two, for where exits are just in case. It was a habit she can't shake off and seeing what profession she is in, it is supposedly a good habit. Jace and his squad watched Alex walk over to an electric guitar after leaving her duffle bag to rest in a small corner. She fingered the strings gingerly and jerked her head towards the man who spoke, telling her she can try it if she wants to. Alex picked it up and slung the strap over herself and shifted it so the strap rested on her shoulder comfortably.
"I bet you can't play shit." A high pitched voice mocked. Alex looked up from the guitar she was plunging the cord into. "Leave her alone." Jace said as he jumped out from his hiding spot, not caring that he just busted his own cover from stalking Alex. The cheerleader's mouth dropped in shock. "But, but I thought you loved me." She said in a hurt voice. "I never did. What gave you the idea that I loved you?"
"Don't be disgusting, bitch." Paris said as she and the others followed Jace out from their hiding spot.
"Hmpft! Whatever. I'll make you mine soon." She said before turning back to Alex. Jace turned and caught Alex's eye. It felt like electricity ran through the both of them. It was so ecstatic. Both of them blushed just a tiny bit. One showing no emotion while the other looked away. Everyone except the cheerleaders and jocks noticed the little display. Their ice king and the ice queen is falling in love with each other. "I'm gonna bet with you that you can't play shit on an electric guitar." The cheerleader, Mia, sneered. Alex regarded them with her cold brown eyes. "If I can?" Alex challenged. That question momentarily stunned the cheerleaders and jocks. They never actually thought the newbie would accept the bet. "You're one cocky little bitch. I doubt you can." Mia sneered, insistent on the fact that Alex can't play.
Alex raised an eyebrow. Her eyes not leaving Mia's, Alex's slim pale fingers reached over to grasp the neck of the electric guitar and her finger pressed on the first string and she plucked the string to tune the guitar and she moved her way down till she reached the last string. Her elegant fingers pressed on a few strings and she started to play a song's instrumental. Paris and Scarlett screamed in excitement as they knew who the artist of that song is and that artist is their favourite. Evanescence, going under. "Can you sing? Pretty please?! I beg you. I'll do anything for you. Please. Please. Please." Paris and Scarlett begged. Alex looked at them as she considered. Alex sighed and nodded before opening her mouth to sing, causing the two girls to fan girl scream.
Now I would tell what I've done for you
50 thousand years I've cried
Screaming deceiving and bleeding for you
And you still won't hear me (going under)
Don't hold my hand this time I'll save myself
Maybe I'll wake up for once (wake up for once)
Not tormented daily defeated by you
Just when I've thought I've reached the bottom.
I'm dying again
I'm going under (going under)
Drowning in you (drowning in you)
I'm falling forever (falling forever)
I've gotta break through (ooooooooooo)
By now random people that passed the store have gathered in front of the store, all in awe of the girl that sung so perfectly it sounds as good as the real deal. Not everyone can sing like Evanescence's lead singer. Most had a few whispered conversation. They all knew which school she goes to because of the uniform and knew it was her first day in that school because she's wearing a school uniform. Everyone except the cheerleaders and jocks exploded in applause and whoops. The cheerleaders and jocks look dumbfounded, they have just lost and they even challenged someone who can play like an expert. They're in deep trouble.
Alex cocked her head at the group. "I've won that little bet of yours. So what's your punishment?" Alex asked. "Who said anything about a punishment?" Mia sneered. "The winner did." Skylar said as she extended a hand over for a hand slap, up and down, from Alex. "You know what. I'll let you off this one time but if I ever catch you pestering anyone of them," Alex said gesturing to Jace and his squad and the lovebirds, "I will not hesitate to hurt you when you hurt my friends." Alex threatened. "Now scram." Alex said and they ran.
The group of watchers all decided to stay and take a look around the store. It seems like Alex has just made their business bloom a bit. Those watchers also wanted to observe what the beautiful red haired teen would do. "Why were you following us?" Ash asked Jace and his squad. "They've been following me the minute I stepped in this mall." Alex said as she set the guitar down. "How did you-?"
"I saw. You guys aren't very good at hiding." Alex replied. As someone looking at a bike engine called her over. "What's wrong?"
"This guy said his engine busted." The guy replied, stepping aside for Alex go examine the engine. Literally everyone in the room stopped what ever they were doing to see what the red haired beauty was doing, looking at a motorbike's engine. Alex pulled out a needle like this from her boot and twisted the piece of metal into her own hair to push it up into a bun. With one hand!!! The other hand tracing the engine. She suddenly let out a small laugh. "This guy is trying to claim insurance isn't he?" She questioned, amusement evident in her voice.
"How did you know?" The guy asked, remembering the owner of the bike telling him that he would love to claim insurance if the repairman deemed that the cause was because of the engine's fault and not him tempering with the engine. "He tempered with the engine. This isn't his first time claiming insurance. He is an expert at this. He is good but not good enough." Alex said swung the wrench expertly in her hand. The wrench went around her fingers and back, doing lots of tricks you would normally do with a pencil or pen.
"I'll go do a background check on him." One staff said as he headed to the computer while another said he would call up the customer's insurance company.
"How did you know he tempered with it?" Jace asked. Alex looked up at him and gestured for him to come over. She twirled the wrench and then pointed it at one part of the engine. "You see that wire? It's edges are too straight. If it was really because of a faulty engine part, the wire's edges would have frayed open and be a little jagged not straight and cleanly severed." Alex explained, swinging the wrench around. "How do you know so much?"
"Why are you guys asking me so many how's?" Alex questioned. "Because we're curious!" Paris said.
"You kiddies would learn nothing from the goddess. It took us a long time to just learn if she has a favourite food." one of the staff yelled across the room with a grin plastered on his face. "That was the only thing we learnt about her. What's your favourite colour by the way?" Another one asked. Alex looked at him with raised eyebrows. "You'll find out." Alex said and turned abruptly to pick up her duffle bag. "See! She always does that!"
"That just reminded me of something. Did you buy a handbag?" Skylar asked and saw Alex stop for a moment. "No."
"Why?! That's the most important thing in life!"
"No it's not." Alex said flatly. "Urgh! Let's go Ash!" Skylar declared and grabbed Ash before dragging him towards the exit. "Where are we going? What about Alexa?"
"We are going to buy that little girl a Gucci." She went out mumbling something about buying more than a Gucci and buying a few other designers for Alex. Alex sighed in frustration and checked her black G-shock watch. A 'GA-100-1A1'. Alex never liked expensive watches, they are practically useless except for telling the time. A digital and analog watch can do so much more. Stopwatch, LED, alarm, calendar, etc. Oh and plus. It's shock resistant and 200m water resistant. "We should head back." She said to Jace and his squad. "Yeah." Jace agreed, glancing at his Rolex.
"Alex!" One of the staff called out and tossed something at her. She snatched it out of the air and looked at it. Keys? "There's a black Kawasaki waiting outside for you. Happy belated birthday." Alex looked at the keys and then looked back up at them all and gave them a small genuine smile. "Thank you." She whispered and walked away with the squad. Alex spotted the bike. The bike she wanted. A black Kawasaki Ninja 250r. Alex smirked a little. Yasss! Alex thought as she swung a leg over the bike and examined the bike. "I'll meet you guys back at school." Alex said before sliding the helmet on. Wait a minute... "Alexa! Wait! Aren't you only 15?!" Jace yelled but she has already zoomed off. Does she even have a license?! If so how?!!!! She's bloody 15. I hope she doesn't get into trouble. Omg... I'm worrying about her. What the. I'm really falling hard for her hard.
