Alex slowly got out of the car with the help of Tamara and felt her foot contact the soft ground. "It just rained."
"How did you-"
"I can still smell and feel you know?" Alex asked, cocking her head to the side facing where she thinks Tamara is. Alex tugged at her uniform to make sure it's neat. Tamara's hands moved over to help her after telling her she was going to do that or else Alex might break her wrist. "You're pretty good when it comes to judging where someone is."
"I get that a lot." Alex said a little sarcasm lined her tone. She's a spy of course she knows where people are and she's an assassin, a extremely skilled one for the matter. Alex turned and trudged up towards the messhall, knowing its lunch now and everyone including the sarge would be there. "How do you know where to go?!" Tamara yelled as she caught up with Alex. "My sense of where North, South, East, West is are very good thank you very much." Alex said as she felt the ground hardened. Concrete. Thank god. Alex extended her cane and tapped her way towards the messhall with Tamara messing with her by telling her the wrong direction to turn.

"Can you reach her?" Ash asked as he watched his wife try for the half a day. "Nope!"
"I'm sure she's fine." Tom reassured. Everyone chatted amongst themselves but heard a strange sound so everyone's chatter died down.
Clack. Clack. Clack. The sound of what sounded like heels on concrete - which is wrong. *hint hint*
"Turn left. Nooooo. Turn left! If you don't you're gonna hit a bloody wall!" A voice said. "Your left or my left?"
"My left!!!" The clacking stopped before one soft clack was heard. "Your left is a wall. You really want to see me run into a wall so badly?" Laughter could be heard. "I always wanted to see someone run into a wal-ompft." That someone, who screamed at someone to take a left, huffed cutting herself off. "Ha. Ha. Ha." The other pronounced each syllable, clearly not amused as the clacking started again. Not sure at what, is it the fact that her friend had wanted her to run into a wall or the fact that her friend cut herself off? "You warn me not to run into a wall and you ran into a wall yourself." Ah, so that friend ran into a wall.
"Ah. You're impossible to trick for starters."
"If I was so gullible I wouldn't still be standing here chit-chatting with you. I'll be dead." Alex said. Someone poked their head in and scanned the room. "You gonna come in?" The person who poked her head in asked someone outside. "Are they still there?" A timid voice asked.
"And by they who do you mean?"
"... Take a wild guess. Prizes includes me leaving town!"
"How is that a nice prize?! I brought you all the way here is not for you skip town again. " The girl yelled at someone outside with her hands supporting either side of the door frame. "It's not like people in there like me anyways!"
"Like who?! Who hates you? I'll beat the heck out of that person."
"God. No beating up of any of those brats! Just tell me if they're still in there."
"Oh you mean those tiny people." Tamara said in mock realisation. "Is it a bad thing if they still are?"
"... Yes. I'm skipping town." the clacking started again but stopped when Tamara darted away from the door to grab that person. "Oh you are not going anywhere!"
"I certainly am not going in there! Why did I even bloody agree to come here?! I rather be dead then face them!" Alex croaked out in the loudest voice her lungs would allow her to muster.
"Why?!"
"Because my ex is in there!" Silence followed. No one in the mess hall moved either, not sure what to do. Should they arrest them as intruders or ask them to come in? "Which one? Is it one of the soldiers?"
"... The heck? They are like what? At least 20 or above!" The quieter one exclaimed hoarsely like she was injured badly and straining just to talk. "Then it's one of the students then."
"No shit Sherlock." Alex snorted slightly. "Which one?" There was silence before a 'that's one hot as boy' when Alex showed her a picture.
"I know... But he hates me. I lied to them all." Alex whispered so that they wouldn't be heard. "Aww. It's alright." Tamara whispered to the younger girl and embraced her before tugging her towards the mess hall. Tamara poked her head in again. "Permission to enter sir?"
"You may. But first state your identity."
"Tamara Knight from the CIA, sir." There was a squeal from Skylar. "Hey Tama!!!" Skylar greeted. Tamara saluted informally. She looked out and tugged at something or more specifically someone. "Nooooo! I'm not going in. You go in yourself! I'll wait outside."
"My orders are crystal clear. NEVER let you out of my sight. Come one its not that bad. We'll head to America sometime later anyways. You can't see them anyways." Silence as the other stopped struggling and they heard them take a deep breath. Tamara stepped in with one hand still outside, with a firm but gentle grip on the other one outside. "Come. They wouldn't kill you."
"My soul would burn if I go in."
"Then I'll put out the fire!" Tamara argued.
"And demons would start eating my flesh away."
"Then I'll shoot them all!"
"And-"
"Stop making excuses!" Tamara snapped and walked out to carry the small teen in. The teen made a noise of surprise and pain. "Oops. Sorry 'bout your bullet holes." Tamara apologise to the girl that buried her head into Tamara's neck to cover her face. They watched as Tamara headed to the sarge and saw the small girl she was carrying holding a folded cane... A cane blind people uses. "You can't see them, they can't see you." Tamara tried.
"This ain't ostrich logic simple!" Tamara laughed and almost dropped the girl but if it wasn't for the girl's fast reflex to catch herself and Tamara, they would both be on the ground. The small girl's back was facing them. "It's okay. Turn around." Tamara said gently to the girl who flinched from the touch. The hand clutching the folded cane shook by her side. She took a deep breath and flung the cane open before turning around. Everyone gasped. LITERALLY everyone gasped. Various different coloured eyes met white-grey coloured ones. White-grey coloured eyes that seem to not meet anything. It just stared straight. It doesn't dart around to scan the room like how the previous cold brown eyes that belonged on the girl would normally do. "Alex." Skylar gasped out her name and started crying. Alex immediately felt really guilty and she hid behind Tamara. "It's okay."
"I made someone cry." Alex whispered. "Everyone cries." The sarge tried when Tamara was speechless. "Sir." Alex greeted snapping to attention on reflex. "Still the same old cub I know. At ease soldier."
"Alex. Oh my poor Alex." The said girl heard the gasps and footsteps before she was engulfed in a hug by a crying woman. "How long have you been blind?" She whispered her question but the question echoed throughout the silent mess hall. "... I started going blind in my left eye when I came here. Then my left eye lost its vision on the rescue mission. That's why I got a swollen eye and a bruised cheek... I started losing my right one immediately after that." the wailing woman continued crying even more. "You've been suffering and why didn't you tell us? We would have helped. We could have prevented you from losing your sight during a mission! Look at you all covered with injuries. How many bullets this time?" Skylar joked, hoping the kid would say none. "Two. Both went through. One almost hit my heart."
"Ah. That's a rhetorical question!! Why did you answer??!!??" Skylar asked immediately regretted asking and cried more. Alex winced from the loudness and pain. "I think, uh, Sky, you should let the girl get some air." Tamara said. "Oops."
"Now. I'm skipping town. My soul is being eaten by blood thirsty demons." Alex said as she tried to leave. "Nah uh uh. You're going no where!" Tamara yelled and ran after the girl but was tackled to the ground by the same girl she ran after. "Stop right young lady! Or I'm going to ground you!" Tamara yelled. Alex stopped, just centimetres away from the exit. "You're not mother." Alex whispered in a hurt voice. Tamara winced. Why did I have to use that tactic?! I'm so stupid. "... I'm not. But right now I technically am your guardian so I can ground you."
Alex turned around and snorted, glaring at the students who all frantically tried to look like they weren't gawking. Did a blind girl just glare? How does a blind person glare?! "What can you do?" Alex asked as she walked slowly towards the sarge's table where she usually sat and felt for the chair. Tamara took that as a sign and sat down as well. "Make my bedtime one hour early? I can make do with more sleep time. Stop me going out? This is Brecons Beacons. I can't go anywhere and I have no friends." Alex said, looking as if her white-grey eyes can read Tamara's soul. "I can take away your gun."
"Go ahead. I don't need my gun. I don't like guns anyways."
"Knifes?"
"I don't need them."
"God. Then how are you going to defend yourself?"
"Simple. Like what I did at the airport and be in a high risk of getting injured or killed." Alex said waving her off. "What did she do at the airport?!" Eagle asked excitedly bouncing around. "Uh... Who are you?" Tamara asked. Alex sighed. "Tamara, that hyperactive knucklehead is Eagle."
"Hey!" Eagle exclaimed but Alex just ignored him and ploughed through. Alex paused as she tried to remember the voices and how far away they were. "Then beside you is Snake our medic, Wolf our leader and Fox our linguist. Eagle is our technology expert by the way."
"How did you know which order we were in?!" Eagle gasped in slight shock. Alex looked in his general direction and said four words in a thick Russian accent. "I am a spy."
"My godddddd. I've always wanted to do a Russian accent. Teach me!!" Eagle gushed and was beside her immediately with puppy dog eyes. "Uh. You know I can't see your puppy dog eyes." Alex stated knowing Eagle was going to pull that trick. Eagle groaned. Alex thought about it. "If I teach you as many accents as you want, will you tone down the hyperness?" Alex felt Eagle nodding eagerly. "Act at least 18 and not 5?" Eagle nodded again. "Don't get to hyper even on sugar rush?" Eagle was about to nod when a question of 'how?' Popped up. "Just relax and be cool. You're not 5." Alex said in a Russian accent. Eagle nodded eagerly to the condition again.
"Don't get too squealy?" Nod.
"Don't ask a question ten thousand times?" Nod.
"Okay. You got yourself an accent tutor." Alex said in a french accent and managed to wink at k-unit and the sarge and the instructors. She has manage to tone Eagle down with just a few simple conditions on one thing!
