Alex gently rocked the girl clinging onto her neck to make sure Alex doesn't let her go or give her back to her parents. "... I think about it, the eye surgery." Alex said as she stood. "Where are you going?"
"Out." Alex replied as she tried to give Faith back but she wouldn't let go. "Just bring her along." Ash said. "But I can't take care of her! I'm blind!"
"We trust you Alex." Skylar said. Alex looked in her general direction and a ghost of a smile appeared on her lips. "Hey! I was told not to let you out of my sight!" Tamara said. "Just relax. She can take care of yourself."
"But-" Tamara was cut off when the door shut. Dammit. Tamara cursed to herself and sat down, grumbling about stupid reckless spies. "When do we have to leave for America?" Tamara asked the other two CIA agent. "In a few hours, depends on Alex."

"I feel so bad." Paris whispered. "About?" Scarlett asked as they watch the blind girl, their good friend, walk out the door. "Calling her a liar."
"Yeah... But I don't think she'll forgive us." Colton said. "Are you guys seriously thinking so lowly of Alex?" Tom interfered. Their heads snapped to Tom and his group. "Alex forgives. Even if she doesn't say it, she never blames anyone but herself. She is always blaming herself even if it's not her fault. Her heart broke when you guys called her a liar." Tom said before walking away with his group of friends.

"Faith, I so wish to see you again. But should I do the eye surgery? I don't want to be a spy anymore. I want to be normal... Pfft who am I joking I can't be normal anymore." Alex whispered to the child in her arms playing with her hair. Alex heard leaves rustling and she immediately took a position where she can protect the child. "I'll protect you." Alex whispered into Faith's ear. She looked at Alex with big wide eyes, Alex just shifted her so that she can take off with the girl if needed. "Well, well, well if it isn't the powerful Alex Rider, the most feared spy and assassin. Hahaha. You're just a pathetic blind girl with a child in her arms." Alex heard, she pretended to look around like she was trying to locate where the voice is but she already knows. She just doesn't want her opponent to know. "Look at you, you don't even know where I am. Sad. Truly saddening." The man sneered. "Now die sweetheart." Alex heard the cock of a gun.
"You're underestimating your opponent." Alex said and pulled out her gun, pulling the trigger at the same time as the man. She twisted to avoid the bullet hitting Faith, which grazed her own arm slightly. Faith started screaming from the loud bangs. Alex dropped to the floor and rolled onto her back and shot at the trees, the bullet found its mark into the sniper's head. Alex made sure that was everyone before she sat up to comfort the crying girl. Alex held the gun limply but ready in her hand while she patted Faith's back. "It's okay. You're safe now." Alex whispered before she started singing to calm her. Faith loves Taylor Swift music so Taylor swift music it is.

"Whoa. What was that?" Fox asked as they heard the bang and screaming. "That's Faith!" Skylar yelled and was the first one out the door. Then there was another bang and the screaming stopped. Please be okay. Please be okay. Both of you! Don't you guys dare be hurt.
K-unit, Ash, Skylar and Tamara found Alex leaning against a tree. Two dead bodies laid about 50m from her. Her sleeve soaked in blood, and a gun held limply in her hand. About five minutes and two songs later, Alex finally sighed. Snake took that as a sign to check on her arm. Alex's lip held a tinge of white from the blood loss. Skylar took Faith for Snake to have a better look at Alex. "I'm doing it." Alex mumbled suddenly, slumped against the tree. "Doing what?"
"I'm getting that eye surgery."
