RAGHAV POV

I could not believe what I had just listened to. Chitra had collapsed on the floor. Chandani was shocked, but she had to handle herself since she is pregnant.

But how could this happen so easily? My brother can't die like this. Some messengers instantly left to look after Prince Indrajeet. We needed him. The other army men barged into the kingdom of Vijaygarh to find out the dead bodies of our soldiers and...........my dearest brother.

It took us a few hours to find out all of them, and to my utmost shock, they all had really died. Their bodies twisted in a weird fashion, skin had turned grey, the hair on the body had burnt away and no drop of blood could be felt in their bodies.

Bhagwati knows how badly they would have been tortured.

Chandani curled her fingers around my bicep.

"They summoned the dark forces. It's too much Raghav. We need to do the same."

Her voice sounded motivating. I turned to her, and held her hands in mine, intertwining our fingers.

"I want a Divine army."

I grunted, inhaling sharply.

"Chitra got married to Ranveer bhaiya in a temple where your mother used to pray, but only she knows where that temple is, and she has not gained consciousness yet."

Chandani informed me, lines of tension clearly discernible on her forehead.

"I salute the King and Queen."

A physician interrupted us. We turned back to cast a glance at her. She was the one treating Chitra at this moment.

"Princess Chitra is pregnant."

She informed us. My breath hitched, harking to this information. The poor baby was pregnant, and her husband died just now. Why is the Mother Goddess being so brutal with these little lives?

"Take good care of her. We are coming."

I asserted, and the physician nodded.

I and Chandani went straight into her chamber, where Chitra was lying, covered in comforters. Her eyes closed, and she was breathing heavily.

"Chitra, my baby. Wake up my little girl."

Chandani sat beside her, and began patting her head.

"Ran..... Ranveer!"

Chitra whispered, making my eyes teary. She loves him with all her heart. How would she manage this trauma?

"Ranveer!"

She mumbled again, gradually opening her eyes.

"Chitra, you are pregnant. You need to stay strong."

Chandani muttered, and Chitra straightened up slowly. She glanced at me, then her and hugged her tightly.

"Where is Ranveer. Where is my husband?"

She asked instantly, getting befuddled and eccentric.

"Chitra, please be strong. Ranveer is no more."

Chandani cooed her, holding her warmly, but she instantly broke into uncontrollable sobs. She tried best to shake her hands, head and legs terribly. She was losing control. I couldn't see her like that. She is like a daughter to me.

I immediately perched beside her, and embraced her lovingly.

"You still have a family, Chitra. And now a baby too. That's Ranveer's child. You need to stay strong for this child."
