Raghav POV

After crossing that area, all I wanted at that moment was to escape this place. The phobias of a human mind were haunting me gravely, when I saw a white light approaching me from a distance.

It could be an illusion too!

The thought hit my mind like a thunderbolt, and I began running to the opposite side of it. The region over my left ankle got severely injured as I fell down stumbling upon something, and now the sounds of my mother cooing to me, Ambika moaning my name, Chandani despising me for my lustful behaviour and whatnot began hitting my head as if someone was beating me with a hammer.

Closing my ears with both my hands after putting the sword back into the sheath, I started screaming, tears cascading down my cheeks continuously and I managed to stand up.

I began running in the dark, unaware of where the path would lead me to.

Chandralekha POV

I have no idea where my husband got disappeared, but the army men wailing before me and Prince Indrajeet's swollen eyes are trying their best to prove that he's no more.

I kept my hand over my belly, where the symbol of love is slowly cherishing and closed my eyes inhaling sharply.

"My love is alive! I can feel him....He is alive somewhere, perhaps thinking of me, perhaps wondering that I would find him. I cannot decieve his trust."

Whispering this to myself, I slowly opened my eyes and gazed around. The burnt warrior had broken down into tears, and that is when we got to know that he was Ranveer bhaiya. Chitra sat by my side, while Ambika was preparing medicines for my better health.

"Bhabhi, you need to be strong. The battle isn't over yet."

Prince Indrajeet spoke to me, and I smiled with an expression of satisfaction on my face.

"Nor is my husband."

I declared, raising up from my seat.

"I know he is alive."

I declared with utmost confidence, and as expected everyone gave me a shocked look.

"He isn't, bhabhi...and even if he is, Yuddhjeet must have trapped him somewhere and he will attack us within a few moments. Indra, we must lead the battle now."

Ranveer bhaiya blurted out. I know he is worried about me, but what I just mentioned is important for all of us.

"No!" I mumbled, showing my palm to them.

"I will lead the battle now."

As these words slipped off my tongue, all men stared at me with utmost flabbergasted expressions. I know my words were enough to shock everyone, but this is my final decision.

"You cannot, my Queen. You are not only our responsibility, but also our pride."

The chief commanded, Abhimanyu spoke up. Tears accumulated in the edge of his eyes.

"He had already attacked your honour once, but luckily everyone who witnessed it is dead, except that bloody Usurper."

He asserted, lowering his gaze. None of these men look at me directly because this is what our culture is. These are the kind of men the society needs, not like Yuddhjeet.

"I am your Queen, a mother figure to you all. It is my duty to protect you all, and fight in the place of your King when he is absent."

I announced, with a straight posture and firm voice. My tone sounded much like that of Raghav, and it is his strength speaking from within me.
