Chapter 5 - No insecurities left to have

Y/n's POV
After the thing with Maya teasing me about my 'small' crush on Evan, Coach Alex announced we would be going to the lake today to take a break from all the hockey and stuff I was getting my bathing suit and phone in my bag I went up to Maya and said "So, what bathing suit you picking?" Maya then says "Hmm I don't know should I go for... I like men?" She then holds out lavender bathing suit and then says " Or talk to me I'm wearing polka dots?" She then holds out a red bathing suit with white polka dots.
I say " Hmm... I like men!"
Maya says "Ok!" She then proceeded to put her phone, bathing suit, and sunscreen in her bag.
Me and Maya then walk out our dorms as we walk to where the other Ducks are as me and Maya talked as we talked when we walked to the lake when we got their I went into a near by bathroom and put my bathing suit on when I got out I realise I forgot my sunscreen.
So, I went up to Maya and said "Hey Maya? Mind letting me borrow your sunscreen?"
Maya says "Oh sure!"
She then hands me her sunscreen I put sunscreen then hand it back to her then get a floatie put it in the water and hop on it to just chilling till Evan swims over and asked "Hey! Y/n you look bored and sad, something up?"

Evan's POV
I swam over to Y/n and asked her "Hey! Y/n you look bored and sad, something up?"
Y/n then says to me "Hey..Evan do you think I look big in this I mean..am I gaining weight?"
I then understood Y/n she was insecure I felt bad Y/n was beautiful...and I wanted to make sure she knew that so I said "I think you look good in it shows off your eyes!"
Y/n says "I dont really like them either I feel my eyes dont really bring out anything..."
I say "No...They're beautiful like you...and dont even say your hair is disgusting...its gorgeous..."

Y/n's POV
After Evan said that I was flustered then Evan grabbed my hand and held it for a few seconds trying to tell me through his body language that I was beautiful the way I was I didn't need no makeup or skincare to be pretty or gorgeous I just needed to be myself..
Then someone cannonballs into the lake I fall off my float the thing was I didn't know how to swim and when I fell off my float and went into the water, Evan instantly went into the water and got me out put me on land and put a towel around me and held me agaisnt him as I started to breath again I didnt let Evan know that though I just continued to be against him and hug him closer.
I saw Maya raise her eyebrow and small happily at seeing Evan holding me close and I also saw her take a photo...I was definitely gonna ask her for that photo later...
