⚠️Degrading tones/Dirty Talk/Public Sex⚠️Summary: Billy Hargrove works for his buddy's band, Corroded Coffin which so happens to be your favorite band and you happen to run into Billy behind the venue attending one of their shows.
Billy's POV:
Hanging out by the back entrance of the venue, after I just finished loading up the drum kit and setting it up on the stage. I was leaning against the cool brick to have a smoke break, I thought about how there were three more shows after this one, and after, Eddie suggested I come with them to New York City because they would need help lugging equipment around the big city as they got a couple shows down there. Me New York? I am more of a West Coast California man, I like things slow.
"Billy we're going to need you man I can't lift the one speaker and it needs to be somewhere else" Gareth called out to me, peeking out his head from the back entrance.
"Yeah Yeah, I will be in let me finish this," I tutted, motioning with my cigarette.
"Show is in 30 minutes" Gareth reminded and closed the door.
I put out my cigarette ashing it out on the brick wall and walked inside heading towards the stage. As I approached multiple people were running around getting equipment set up along with the sound check crew. Random sounds of high hats going off and speaker sounds buzzing surrounded me.
On the side part of the stage, I saw Gareth talking with Eddie so I approached them. As I approached, Eddie's eyes lit up and he paced over to me clapping a hand onto my shoulder giving it a squeeze turning us to face Gareth.
"This guy" Eddie boasted looking at me.
"Which speaker?" I asked looking around at the multiple JBL speakers set up. Eddie dismissed himself walking backstage and Gareth walked me to the JBL speaker that wasn't put on the stand yet. It sat on the floor beside the stage, needing to be strapped into the stand.
"This one," Gareth said motioning to the speaker on the ground and walking away.
I scoffed leaning down to grab the speaker and hauled it onto the stand with a grunt, propping it up with one hand and using my free hand to wrap the strap around and strapping it in. I turned to see people started to flood the venue. I left quickly, walking into the backstage area to find the rest of the band, only to find Eddie downing a tequila shot from the bottle, leaning up against the wall near their dressing room. As I approached, Eddie turned his head as it was leaned up against the wall to face me.
"Tequila Bills?" Eddie offered extending the bottle towards me.
"No thanks," I said flatly, wanted to be sober tonight because that's the environment of this lifestyle, this career was always about getting fucked up. I drank with them all the time but tonight, I wanted to wake up tomorrow not with a raging headache.
