Letty could heart pounding loudly against her chest as they maneuvered through the busy streets of Los Angeles.
The last few days since the inevitable happened has been eerily quiet. Everyone expected that after the storm had come to pass and the emotions had settled, conversations between Olive and the Toretto's about what will happen next would soon begin.
However, as per usual, Olive continued to defy everyone's expectation's because nearly two weeks later. there was still no word from Olive's side.
She had been staying in Elena's house ever since she stumbled upon it drunk than night. Olive had refused to see anyone except for Elena and Eric who had been staying over, even Alex who had tried to see her numerous times failed again and again.
Although Eric and Elena had access around Olive, they faced another kind of challenge. The kind where they were left just as useless as the ones who were unable to see her.
Olive was fine.
Or at least that's what she wanted to believe.
This was incredibly distressing for everyone. She was supposed to sulk and mop around maybe throw things against the wall and that would have been perfectly understandable given the situation but instead, Olive woke up after that night, asked for some pain meds and went to cook everyone some lunch.
There were no noticeable change in Olive's demeanour except that she had seemingly decided overnight to cut her world down to two people and pretended as if nothing ever happened. She was so normal the following days. She still prepared them dinners, sat next to them on the couch with a bowl of popcorn on one hand, Olive was still...Olive.
The only reminder that that day really did happen were the dodged conversations on the first mention of Letty or Dom's name and the barely useable right hand of Olive's. These were the only things reminding Elena and Eric that there is nothing normal about what is happening.
Olive's behaviour was alarming. Her parents knew this as well. They weren't doctors but they know well enough that this was a massive red-flag that couldn't and shouldn't be ignored.
Eric and Elena had taken turns on keeping an eye on the young woman as discreetly as possible. That was the plan for the mean time. They didn't want to pressure Olive to talk when she clearly isn't ready yet. They figured that it was the least that they could do for her.
That was until today.
It was Alex who broke the news to the Toretto's. He was just five blocks away from their house when his phone rang and Elena who was visibly confused asked him wether Olive and Eric had moved back in him with him which he quickly denied.
He would've known if Olive was talking to him again much more if there were plans of moving back in which he was absolutely sure would take time.
He heard Elena cursing on the other line and he knew almost instantly that something was not right.
"What's going on Elena? Where's Olive?"
A string of both english and spanish curses were heard from the other side. Alex could hear Elena's hurried footsteps against the wooden floor as she shuffled one room to the next then down the stairs.
" Elena?"
"They're gone."
"What?"
"Olive and Eric are gone." Elena repeated. "His clothes aren't here anymore either."
Alex pressed his foot down on the throttle. Elena informed him that they were still there earlier that morning when she left tp finish some things at work and when sh returned a couple of hours later, the house was unusually quiet and Eric and Olive where nowhere to be found. The only reminder of their presence were Olive's clothes she didn't bother to pack and a note containing two simple words written in Olive's unmistakable handwriting left on the kitchen island.
