"Is she okay?" Letty asked as soon as Elena opened the door to her house.

To their surprise, instead of heading to the hospital, Eric instructed them to head to Elena's home instead.

"She's alright." Elena gave them a small smile as she let them inside her place. It took Elena by surprise when a loud pounding on her door woke her up in the middle of the night. She had grabbed her gun out of instinct and cautiously made her way downstairs. When she opened the door, Olive was leaning on the door frame with her left hand and the hoarseness of her voice was more than evident.

She had been crying. And drinking.

Elena could smell the reek of alcohol and smoke coming off of her. She knew her enough to know she probably sneaked into a bar somewhere in the neighborhood and lost her way home.

"Hi." Olive forced a smile on to her face. Elena tucked her gun behind her and opened the door wider. They hadn't known each other for very long but over the past few months they had been spending some time with each other. When Elena had been reinstated as Hobbs' partner and stationed in the DSS Los Angeles Division, both she and Olive had accidentally bumped with each other a couple of times in the city before calling setting a date for the coffee Olive owed her. Over time the two became close with each other that Olive became a regular at Elena's house.

Alex was well aware of the friendship between the two but had decided on his own to keep it from both Dom and Letty knowing that they would probably tell Elena and she would be forced to keep her distance from Olive out of respect for the two. Alex had seen how much Olive looked so relaxed when spending time with Elena. He knew it was wrong for all the people involved but he just couldn't see Olive lose another person again in a matter of months.

When Eric arrived at the scene, he initially intended to tell Letty and Dom as well but like Alex, he couldn't bring himself to take a good friend away from Olive and he couldn't tell Elena that she was spending most of her weekends with the daughter of her ex-boyfriend because, then again, it wasn't his place to disclose such information.

Both Alex and Eric's hands were tied in the situation. Though Elena and Olive's friendship is harmless since it was not a secret that Elena and Dom were nothing but friends, it was still awkward knowing that Letty is now in the mix.

"Do you mind if I crash in for a couple of nights?" Olive tried to put some humor in her question but that did not fool Elena, not even a bit. Olive looked like she was about to cry again.

"I kinda have nowhere else to go." Her voice cracked in the end as she attempted to laugh it off.

"Not at all." Elena took a step aside but before Olive could even actually enter the house, she tripped over herself and almost fell to the floor. Elena was able to grab Olive's arm and the young woman almost brought both of them down to the floor if it wasn't for Elena's grip on her waist, steadying them both.

"Olivia!" Elena was more than sure Olive had drank more than she could handle and was very very drunk. Whatever happened with her, Elena knew it wasn't good. A groan of pain escaped Olive's lips as Elena half-carried half-dragged her to the living room and in to the soft couch. Olive had passed out before her head could hit the pillow.

"What the fuck?" Elena whispered to herself when she turned the lights on. Under the dim light of her porch she could only see the shadow of Olive's face but now, it was displayed in all its glory. Olive's face was red and swollen, Elena wasn't sure if it was from crying or an accident but she had a hunch it was from both judging by the Steri-Strips on her forehead. If that didn't already gave away the accident Olive was probably in then the splint on her right wrist definitely would.
