"What do you think?" Farleigh begins to pose, trying on his costume for the 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' themed birthday party. "Am I making Shakespeare proud with my Nick Bottom costume?"
Putting down my magazine, I stare up at his large mask of a paper-mâché donkey's head and burst into laughter. "I think it will be hard to breathe in, and it'll also flatten your afro."

Farleigh snatches the mask off of his head, fluffing his now flattened curls. "Perhaps you're right... It'll be quite hard snorting lines at the party with it on too."
I instantly roll my eyes. Farleigh is such a party boy, he can be hard to keep up with... especially with the state of first trimester pregnancy that I'm in.
"Why are you so excited about this party anyways?" Resting on his bed's decorative pillows, I gently rub my baby bump as I watch Farleigh dig through his closet for another costume. "It's a celebration for Oliver... We hate Oliver."
"Indeed we do." He agrees. "But what we don't hate, is a good party! Plus, Aunt Elspeth has gone all out for this party. She can't wait to brag to her acquaintances about having the very best social event to end the summer. Little does Oliver know, this party is hardly for him. Just another opportunity for the Cattons to show off."
"What are you going to dress as?" Farleigh continues.
I shrug. "The other day as I was packing my bedroom up , I found a white box placed inside of my closet... It wasn't mine, someone must've put it there. When I opened it, there was a pair of costume wings inside from Felix... He of course left the price tag on to show me that he splurged an insane amount of money on it, but I still wasn't very impressed. He left me a handwritten love note in there too... Something about, matching his costume at the party and how much he will always love me."
Farleigh's eyes become curious, voice sounding of jealousy and hostility. "And so... you're going to wear it then? Ahem— and like, match him?"
