We arrived at the pyro's house. I was asked to wait till they cleared the floor. They searched the place top to bottom. I was allowed to go in have a look but Luke pulled me back and he went in first. I was behind him the entire time. I felt the floor was slightly slanted so I placed my stress ball on the floor. It rolled towards the wall. I felt around till I found a latch. I pulled it towards me. The door opened and flames shot out to greet me. Luke pulled me out at the right moment. He hugged me tightly to protect me. His brother shot the guy in the temple and he fell to the floor.
The others were shocked at his attitude. He took my hand pulled me back when I tried to get inside. His excuse was it could be booby-trapped. I flicked his hand and threw a tennis ball to the floor as hard as I can. Nothing happened so I walked in without fear. He followed me praying that there is no more.
I found where he keeps his records it was not on the computer. It is kept at the bottom of a wooden music box. I plucked it out and hid it as they searched his computer. I turned the key and enjoyed the melody. Luke smiled, "I remember you used to have one in the small cottage outside London. I used to go there and imagined myself living there. As you used to say 'No honking, No swearing, No fights just peace and happiness' These words ring in my ears these few days." I hugged him and gave him the box as a souvenir. He promised to cherish it for as long as he lives. His brother asked him if he was ok as did everyone else. I asked if I could get a glass of water I was feeling thirsty.
After a refreshing glass of water, we took off to find number three on the list. Marx Fenton is a professional assassin. He was a little tricky to acquire. We reached the place he was last seen it turned out he was waiting for us. He tried to shoot us. I ended up using the electric net to chase him. It was pretty satisfying to see him spasm on the floor. Brian chuckled, "You should give him a chance to escape." I shook my head, "The sooner he is captured the easier I will sleep. This is one person I threw in prison after he tried to kill me twice." He lowered his head, "That was when you helped the Special Boat Services? They are the inspiration for the American Navy Seals. They copied of the Brits." I gave him a nod as I gave the assassin a sedative as an added insurance policy.
The next we set a trap with me as bait. They eagerly came and were arrested easier than Fenton. I gave Luke a goodbye hug and left. He smiled and left with the souvenirs from the catches. I arrived back in New York to get back to Work. I was greeted by Peter and Edward. Alex was waiting for me in the car. She looked like she was talking to someone and was visibly upset. I braced myself as I sat in the car.
I got a call from Lauren that I must attend her wedding next week. I promised to attend it with a plus one. Peter winked, "So is this is formal or informal?" I shrugged, "She never does anything formal." He chuckled, "Should I go in my t-shirt? Or should I wear a plain suit?" I waved my hand, "Plain suit is fine" I looked up, "I can go on my own" He brushed me off, "It will be fun". He refused to listen to me so he picked up his phone. Edward was on the phone and Alex was reading the newspaper. I just kept quiet till the car stopped.
I stepped out and I blurted, "Crabtree! You dropped me at the wrong address. This is Edwards's house. I am supposed to go to my new apartment in Queens. You brought me to Brooklyn. I am forbidden to come to this property for as long as I live." He dismissed me and went indoors. Edward tried to carry me into his house. I shook my head and begged him not to take me inside. I hate breaking the rules. I thanked him for the ride and walked to find a cab. Peter followed me to the corner, "I could take you where you need to go." I thanked him for his kindness. He sat me down in his Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe and drove me to my place. He looked around and saw the view was a little bland. But the apartment was decorated to his liking. He gave a curt nod and sat down. I got him with a glass of Sprite on Ice. He gave me a nostalgic look as I sat on the swing. He sat next to me and stared at me with such intensity that I turned beet red. He got up and asked me to switch apartments. He knew someone that was moving out and the owner is looking for an honest renter. I agreed and within the hour I moved to Brooklyn.
