── SOPHIA SAT ON THE bus along side Priscilla and a few of the guys. All of them laughing loudly while Priscilla seemed to be disappearing into the seat as they got squashed in. Elvis laughed the loudest, he held a cigarette between his fingers. Slowly inhaling a long puff of smoke. He draped his long arm over the back of the bench as he bounced in crossed leg.

"It's not my fault your girlfriend is wack! She looks like a giraffe." One of the guys laughed loudly, Elvis chuckled shacking his head.

Sophia cracked a small smile, not wanting to add to the already rude joke. Boy she hoped they didn't talk about her like this!

"It's not her fault she has an abnormally long neck man." Red laughed even louder, moving closer to the center where everyone else sat.

Sophia and Priscilla remained wedged between the hysterical men, quietly observing and listening to the conversation. Sophia cautiously peered at Elvis through the corner of her eye. She admired his every move, from the way he blew the smoke out of his mouth to the way his lip curled up every time he laughed. It was so familiar yet she still ached to get closer to him.

Sophia had found herself at the back of the bus, behind the beds into the small TV area where she assumed Elvis liked to smoke and watch TV at night. She sat perfectly still as the bus moved closer to Vegas, the dark road barely visible through the dim lights outside. Facing the window she rested her head on her crossed arms which rested on the back of the red velvet seat. Everything seemed so Elvis.

"Now what are you doin' here all by your lonesome?" A comforting deep voice quietly made itself present.

Sophia turned her head to look behind, Elvis stood tall with a half smile on his lips. His blue eyes pierced through her, she'd never get used to the way he could see straight through her.

"Waiting for you." Sophia put simply, turning her body to fully sit straight. She needed to talk to him, she had had a pit in her stomach ever since she'd last spoken to him.

After Priscilla had woken up, Sophia hadn't had a reason to talk to Elvis let alone she was too nervous to talk to him.

"It's been a while..." Sophia smiled, Elvis sat down beside her.
