Weather: sunnyAfter a long, boring day of school, Noah is finally able to walk out of those depressing school gates, and go home. The beautiful blue sky, the scarce amount of clouds, and the bright, beaming sun, is almost completely ignored by Noah, who right now, is too tired after such a stressful day to even enjoy these small things, which unfortunately, is starting to become the daily norm for him.
Though, he decides to take it slow today, and takes his time as he walks home. He does some sightseeing as he's walking, and doesn't say a word, not even a peep. He looks behind him, and sees some people from School. Noah isn't the most known, so these people are just random ones to him. He then looks at the street across from his, and sees the many different stores, watching as the school kids, fresh out of class, are all filling up the many shops. It's surprisingly calming to him.
then, a message pops up on his smartwatch. He looks at it to see who it was, and it's his Mom.
"Hey, Hun! Just wanted to let you know that I'll be out of town with your dad on a business trip, so you'll-"
He stopped reading it, rolled his eyes, and kept walking, now more annoyed than before.
His parents are almost always gone from the house, and to a high school senior, that'd sound great. But for Noah, that wasn't the case. With his parents doing this since he was in middle school, he was almost always alone. This, including the high grades he's broken schedule to maintain, the damaged social skills, and many others, his parents were practically his only friends. But their crazy work hours, and his being eighteen now, they felt like it wouldn't affect him as much as it did when he was younger. But they're very mistaken.
But, he stays quiet about it, scared to speak his mind, and say how he feels. He continues walking, and while doing so, he notices someone. His crush, Jane. Jane doesn't particularly know Noah, and Noah himself isn't fully sure she even knows he exists, but he keeps his hopes up that one day, he'll catch her attention, one way or another.
Little did he know that this would be his last time seeing her.
While looking, he got distracted, and tripped right near the street, making him fall! As he stumbles, he catches himself, but not in time. A car, coming at about sixty miles an hour, rams into him, sending him back at a terrifying speed, coupled with a loud ¡Thud!
As his body hits the floor, the driver comes out in a hurry, too scared to even go near him. He slowly opens his eyes, and looks around, not even acknowledging that he can't see out his right eye. He sees blood in the concrete that he's lying on, and it isn't letting up at all, still slowly leaking from wherever the hell, and he looks around to the sidewalk, where he sees multiple different people. Most of them with a worried, terrified expression on their face. A few even rushing to their phones, calling 9-1-1.
Noah looks at his left hand, and his heart sinks. His entire hand was broken, with his pinkie finger looking almost unrecognizable. Fear starts to fill his heart even more, as he notices he can't feel his legs, and he doesn't even seem to notice the tunnel vision that's slowly blackening the corners of his eyes.
But when he does notice it, for some reason, he lays his head down, and doesn't choose to fight it. At the time, if he did hold on strong, he could've survived. But there was this feeling inside, this warm, fuzzy feeling, that made succumbing to the darkness seem like the better option. So, he does just that.
As this darkness fills his eye, it gets bigger, bigger, and bigger, to the point where it's only a small beam of the outside world left. And then, darkness. All of the sudden, the physical feeling of the world disappears. It's an odd, but yet calming feeling. Then, a sudden ripple of light, like a droplet of water landing into a body of water, washes over his sight. It's odd, as it starts off small, and then grows larger, until he hears an odd ¡BEEP! ring in his ears, and he opens his eyes.
