Chapter Seven - More Work, More Worries...

"It will take some time, and effort!"

Both Noah and Selene feel a slight relief at this, now confident that there's a definite way out of their endeavor.

"Okay, what do we have to do now?" Noah questions, ready to face whatever challenge Digital has for him and Selene, even though selene herself isn't too keen on hearing anything else, and is now Simply worried Whenever Digital speaks!

"I-it won't be anything too crazy, right?" Selene questions. Stella raises her eyebrow, and blushes, not giving Selene the most promising expression.

"Uhh, define crazy for me." Stella Responds, subtly letting Selene know that it's gonna be as wild as she might think it'll be. Selene puts her head in her hands, and sighs, still freaked out at the thought of being dead in her original world, and the need to do more sounds like a bit much to her. Noah smiles, puts his hand on her shoulder, and looks at Digital.

"So? What're we doing here?" He asks, obviously a bit more excited to do this than Selene, who slowly looks up, a stressed expression clear on her face.

Digital smiles, and slowly spins in circles in his seat as he explains.

"Well, you two are going to be working as agents, helping us find an amazing project turned World-ender. See, Along with me came two other AI androids; Zen, and Rein. Now, the reason for why I did not have a name like them, was because I was only three months into development when Rein's massive takeover happened. Which explains why I don't have all the emotions that the other two came with."

"Takeover?" Questions Selene, her voice slightly shaky.

"Yes, takeover."

Answers Digital, standing up, and tapping a button on his side of the table, making a hologram screen form in the middle of the table, showing multiple pictures of Rein. Both Noah, and Selene look at the pictures in a mix of surprise, and confusion, specifically because of his appearance; rocking a pair of puffy black and red shorts, no shirt, and a single shoulder piece of armour, colored red and black.

His skin is completely white, not like Digital's grey. His eyes glow a mean red, his hair, which mainly surprised the two, being very puffy and long, and even matching the color of his eyes. But more surprisingly, he looks like a young boy, albeit very odd and inhuman, and his youthful appearance, along with his innocent face, makes them both question how he could've caused any harm, considering that he looks younger than them both.

"W-wow..." Says Noah, leaning in close to the table, and examining Rein.

"Why is he so... Young? He looks like a kid." Questions Selene, looking up at Digital for an answer. But before he can, Stella stand up, her hands behind her back as she looks at Selene.

"I'll take it from here." She states, walking around the table, and standing in between Noah and Selene, leaning over the table as she starts to explain.

"So, Rein was originally supposed to be a kid's mascot of some sorts. Ya know, have a nice, cute style. But during his last stages of creation, there were technical difficulties when making him, which is why his skin's white like it is, and why he has red eyes."

"Huh. That's... Pretty surprising." Says Selene, now more curious to learn more about this odd android.

"Yes it is! He was even inspired by some ancient God that one of the designers worshiped. The weird thing is that this "god" that he talked about, didn't even exist!" Exclaims Stella as she leans her hips noticably closer to Noah, which takes his attention off of the conversation. But just for a second, because Selene is more interested in what Stella means.

"W-whaddya mean by that?" Selene asks Stella, now feeling super confused.

"I mean, that the god wasn't real. There's not a lick of info anywhere on this guy. His co-workers thought that maybe he was just kidding, while the public thought he was plain ol' crazy." Says Stella, which makes Selene lean back in her chair, with her hand on her chin.

"Huh..." Noah thinks about it, wondering why the designer would be referencing a fake god. But before he can put his input, Selene jumps in with a question.

"Well, what do you think it was, Stella?" Selene suddenly asks, catching Stella off-guard.

"Oh? Well, if you're so curious..." Stella scoffs, and leans back up, and trails her fingers along the back of Noah's chair as she walks back to her chair, making Selene feel a sudden amount of jealousy when she sees this. But Stella sits down, and rests her chin on her hand.

"Then I personally think that it was a god from another universe~!" Stella states, making both Noah and Selene pay attention, but making Digital sigh and turn his head the other way as though he's heard this nonsense 100 times over.

"Oh, jeez..." Digital groans, clearly uninterested.
