Our Tomorrow

Chapter 2

The Croods were looking for a place to sleep as Tunk was complaining. "So... hungry." Thunk though he saw some fruit, He tried to take a bite bit it screeched at him and flew off. "I still would've eaten that." Moon held hands with Guy as she said, "If there is water by, I would love to wash off in it. I miss being in the water." Moon was the only Crood that acted human. "All right, pack. Nothing has tried to kill us in the last ten minutes, so let's camp here. Gran and Thunk, you find us a place to sleep." Gran and Thunk slammed onto the ground. "Sandy and Chunky, you stand watch. Ugga and I will forage. Guy, Moon and Eep? Guy, Moon and Eep? Guy, Moon and Eep?" Guy was playing with Moon's hair as Grug said, "Hello! Hey! You're in charge of the fire." Moon looked at Grug and said, "Dad could I go find water to wash off please." Grug nodded as Eep and Guy ran as they yelled, "No problem, Dad. / You can count on us, Dad."

Grug got angry and yelled, "Don't call me that!" After taking a bath Guy and Moon started the fire since Eep and Moon made a deal. The two of them sat together. "Hey." Guy said, flirtatiously as Moon said back. "Hey what?" Guy scooted closer to Moon and said, "Hey, you." Moon giggled blushingly and said, "Hey, you" back." Guy tried to start the fire as he said, "Uh-uh. I "Hey, you'd" first." Moon blushed furiously and said, "And I'm "heyying" you right back." Grug on the other hand was getting annoyed with the flirts between his second eldest and Guy. "Look at them! Guy used to have so many ideas. I mean, wasn't he the one that gave us fire? Now he's useless! Th-They'd never survive on their own!" Thunk complained more as Grug said, "I know, Thunk, and we'll eat our ration of dry twigs and bitter roots just as soon as two pack members, who shall remain nameless, do their jobs and start the fire!"

Guy leaned back winking at Moon as she blushed and told Grug, "Come on, man. Just chill." Grug got furious as he said, "No, you "come on, man!" I'm gonna chill your a..." Ugga managed to get him before he could do anything. "Hey, hey, hey, Grug. Easy. Calm down, big guy. You know, Grug, eventually, Eep and Guy, they're gonna wanna start their own pack, just like we did. It's our nature." Grug scoffed as he said, "No way. Not happening! The pack is stronger together." Moon and Guy started the fire making the couple excited and Guy said, "Yes! You did it!" Grug looked at Moon as he said, "Moon would never leave us. No. Like Moon would ever..."

That night Moon was lying with her family drawing in the sand. "Moon. Moon, are you awake?" Moon smiled hearing her lovers voice and said, "Yeah." Then Guy told her. "Hold on. I'm coming over." She heard Guy get freaked out by Gran but managed to get over to Moon. "Hi." Guy said as she said, "Hi." Then Guy realized that Grug was with them as he said, "Can he hear us?" Moon looked over to her dad and said, "No, he's deep asleep when he falls asleep." Guy nodded taking her hand and said, "Hey." Moon smiled shyly as she said, "Hey." But Guy shook her head and said, "No, no. This is a "hey" with a question. Um... So, uh, I was thinking... Anyway, uh...I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about Tomorrow. Our Tomorrow."

Moon seemed confused as she said, "Our Tomorrow? What do you mean?" The Guy looked sideways and said, "What I mean is, um, maybe our Tomorrow is different than the rest of... of The pack's. Maybe our Tomorrow is a place of our own, you know? Like a home. Just the two of us." This made Moon blush, but she looked at Guy shyly and said, "Just the two of us? Hmm. Guy, I'd really miss my family." But then looked at Guy excitedly and said, "But that does sound amazing! A place of our own? Our home? Ooh! Can our home have flowers?" Guy nodded and added. "Sure can. And butterflies." Then Moon added. "And a sweet, babbling brook?" Then Guy said, "And privacy." Moon smiled and said, "Privacy does sound amazing. Being the only Crood who doesn't act like a caveman. I do tend to like being by myself." Guy smiled then went to grab something as he said, "So, um... do you, Moon River Crood, think you could spend your Tomorrow with me?" Moon smiled brightly taking the rock from Guy and said, "I do. I'm going to fall asleep and dream about our home. Good night, Guy." Holding Guys hand then pulled away when Guy said, "Good night, Moon."
