Bahrain 🇧🇭"Hi-" I let out a sigh as I see who opened the door.
Of fucking course. There are nearly eight billion people in the world and Lando Norris is stood on the other side of this stupid door. The way I could describe how I was feeling right now was wanting to go back into my hotel room and jumping out its window. No one would say anything at first instead I just stare in disbelief as he folds his arms over his chest.
"What took you so long?" I say as I try not to stare at the curls on his that are dripping wet droplets onto his tight black shirt, answering my question.
"What do you want?" He fires back looking at me like I've killed his whole family.
"I think you have my things." I drag out waiting for him to agree instead he just continues to stare down at me.
"What?" Is all he says, making me want to hit him round the face.
"My luggage." I state biting the inside of my cheek, "Do you have my luggage?"
"Oh yeah." He nodded once still with his arms crossed.
"So can I get it." I scoff as he was making me increasingly mad.
"Like right now-" He went to ask but I just barged past him into the room which was identical to mine expect the suit cases everywhere, "Come in Madelyn I guess."
I Ignored him and spotted my suitcases as soon as I entered his room since they were placed next to the door all three large suitcases. They were plain black but I knew they were mine as the handles were decorated with bracelets and other key-rings I had made. The only problem was there only one of me and three large suit cases and one large carryon. I let out another sigh losing count of how many I've released today and placed two suitcases back to back grabbing both the handles in one hand and slinging the bag on my shoulder whilst attempting to grab the other despite my broken wrist which had nearly no grip.
I managed to drag all my belongings to my door before turning around to look and Lando who just watched my struggled with his arms still folded looking at me with the same pissed off expression.
"Thanks for the help." I spat, however as soon as a was out the door he slammed it shut, "Dick."
Although it was only a few more steps my wrist couldn't handle the suit case anymore so I threw it on the floor and let out a loud groan as I kicked the heavy bag to the door. I had finally got changed and laid down on my bed, which was really comfy, and felt all my discomfort of today slip away in the mattress that felt as though it was made of clouds. I laid like a star fish and let out hopefully my last sigh of the day and took a nap.
Unfortunately though I had woken up to my final straw. Music. Loud infuriating, teeth grinding music coming from room 116. I wanted to scream so loud that my vocal cords snapped but that would be embarrassing. That was until the music kept going and going feeling like it was getting louder with ever word. So I rolled over and screamed everything into my pillow who probably wanted to do the same now because of me but it was my time for therapy it can wait. When it didn't stop I jumped from my bed and charged over back to that stupid door.
This time I didn't hesitate to knock as soon as I was in front of the stupid thing I was banging on it in hopes to get his attention so I could scream everything I screamed into that pillow at his face. Although after minuets of knocking and shouting his name there was no response so I charged down stairs back to the lobby where same unfortunate receptionist was.
"I need too change rooms." I said without greeting her, "Like now."
"Unfortunately due to the race this weekend there are no more available rooms in this hotel."
"Oh my god." I groan running my hands through my hair. "Sorry." I apologise before running back upstairs and to that pillow.

"How did you sleep last night?" Max asked as he drove us to the track.
"Shit." I snapped, "Lando Norris was blaring music all night, I wanted to die."
Max just laughed at me keeping his eyes on the road not noticing how I turned to look at him to try and understand what was funny. "What are you laughing about?" I asked the driver.
"Lando didn't stay at the hotel last night, Maddie."
"Oh." I say my voice racing at least five octaves, "Of course he didn't."
We pulled up to the circuit and there was people everywhere for what reason I could not tell you. As we walked through the paddock Max kept talking about how excited he was for the race in between people approaching us for pictures and his autographs. The weather was very sunny which worked in my favour as I wore a pair of chunky Prada sunglasses to hide the bags I had developed under my eyes from last night.
As we arrived earlier then we needed to Max introduced me to the rest of the drivers who names I had already forgotten expect Alex Albon who was really sweet and Charles Leclerc was really hot. Max had to run off and do some interviews and left me with Alex which I didn't mind.
"Im so sorry I'm fan girling so hard right now." He smiled down at me like a child, "Your dad is like hero to me."
"Aww." I say hearing that for the thousand time, "You excited for the first race back?"
"Who isn't?" He asks, as I bit my tongue. "How comes you've never been to a race before."
"Uh, been busy." I lie not wanting to ruin his extremely positive vibes.
"Guess it's a good thing you broke your wrist then?" He smiled at me knowing my thought on anyone mentioning it, "Im sorry I'm sorry." He laughed after seeing the look I sent him, making me smile.
"You should be." I smiled at him taking off my sunglasses.
"Anyway I gotta bounce." Alex's says sticking his bottom lip out, "Cheer for me yeah?"
"Whatever." I roll my eyes as he places his Williams cap on my head before running into his garage.
I start walking over to the Red Bull garage eyes glues to my phone scrolling through instagram learning that in fact Lando did not stay in that room last night, I hate everyone. Im mid way through responding to messages before I hear someone start speaking to me.
"You look tired Maddie did you not sleep well?"
I look up to see a smug looking Lando Norris. He stood there with a smirk plastered on his lips as he stared me in my eyes clearly seeing the bags under my eyes and my pissed off expression. Unfortunately he was right I was tired, so tired in fact meaning I had no energy for his childish behaviour so just walked past him but this wasn't good enough apparently as he followed next to me.
"Don't you have a race to loose Mr world campion." I tightly smile at him as I push my glasses back up on my face.
"Is that your way of wishing me luck?" He asked still walking next to me.
"No that's my way of saying leave me alone go and get in your little orange car, race round that track try your hardest but yet again terribly loose, bringing that extra bit of shame to the Norris name." We stop walk as I am unable to contain my spite any longer, "M'kay?"
Nearly feeling bad for exploding on the guy however he caused the explosion.
Here comes Landon Norris in the McLaren! He started all the way down in p8 and is now battling with Verstappen three time world champion for the first win of the 2024 season. With just one lap to go it's like watching a game of ping pong with the two racers continuously swapping positions leaving everyone on the edge of their seat.
And the chequered flag is waved as Landon Norris gets his first win of his career here in Bahrain and first win of the 2024 season!
