"You're awake" Roan commented "Oh leave me alone, I was stabbed" I complained "Yes. And you're also a fucking agent, stop moping around and do your job" he said "I know you may forget, with your old age, but you don't actually work there anymore" I said
"Ha fucking ha, get a grip" he said instead, his attention in his news paper "I have done. I'm leaving" I said, pulling my jacket on "Finally" he commented, flipping a page
"Prick" I muttered, opening the door

"It's done" I said simply, stood over the old man lying at the bottom of the stairs What a terrible 'fall' he had "Good" Veronica snapped "I see you're in a good mood" I said airily, leaving the targets house
"I would be in a better mood if my agents carried out their hits on time. All of you are fucking slacking" she said angrily.
I rolled my eyes, hanging up the phone.

"Why haven't you killed her?" He asked I shrugged "Unlucky I guess" I said "No, no, because every threat we've faced, you've killed, easily, so... why haven't you killed her?" He asked
I sighed "I don't know, she... I've hurt her. She's hurt me, like she... means to kill me, but doesn't. It's complicated" I tried to explain He laughed
"For fuck sake. You like her" he pointed out "No" I said immediately "You do" he laughed "Oh god, trust you to fall for the only fucking person you shouldn't. She's trying to kill me Adonis" he laughed harder
"But she hasn't" I pointed out Which is what I just couldn't understand "And why is that?" He asked
"I don't know that either" I said It was like she took us to the edge of death, only to smile and drag us back like nothing happened "I'll tell you why, because once I'm dead, she can't play with you anymore" he surmised
"Play with me?" I said blankly Was he that childish? "She likes you, for whatever reason, but that is something to work with mate. And you... you like her" he said "No" I denied
"No?" He echoed "She stabbed me" I said "But it's complicated?" He smiled knowingly "Fuck off" I dismissed, turning round to leave
