Athena. "Why would I believe you?" I asked, throwing the paper back across the desk "Why would I lie?" She asked "To protect yourself" I said, it was obvious "I'm telling the truth, the documents are all there. I can show you the search history in our research office, Enzo found out weeks ago" she said
"Weeks" I repeated Did Adonis really know? Did he lie to me? Was Athena really my mother?
"Yes. And he told Adonis straight away, then me, then Kian. Then Seth" she drawled out "Adonis wouldn't have lied to me. Not for weeks, not... not about this" I said I told him how alone I was How much a mother would have meant to me
He wouldn't have lied "You can ask any of them. He'll admit it. They all will. Adonis knew for as long as Enzo did" she said
I stood up. I needed to get out of here I needed to think. "I'm not the enemy Valencia. Enzo is" she called as I walked out Out of the office Out of the house

"Course not. We got you at the organi-" "Don't fucking lie to me, I saw the birth certificate" I said, pointing my gun at him
He looked at it. Then at me. "He told you then" he said knowingly "He?" I said "Someone had to legally be bound to you. I signed a signature, nothing else, I never met your family" he said
"But you knew it was Athena Vitali? And you knew I was trying to kill Enzo Vitali, her fucking husband" I shouted, seething He closed his eyes momentarily "You were never meant to be on that case" he said
