Leaving Enzo's house was strange, through the front door, not having to kill anyone on the way out Smiles and pleasantries bidding me goodbye "I look forward to this temporary partnership Valencia" Enzo said, before he walked away, patting Adonis on the shoulder as he did so
Adonis stood angry. Almost childlike Like a tantrum was about to ensue "I'm not fucking taking you out" he grumbled "Oh you are Adonis. Enzo said so" I teased
"Enzo does not control me. I'm not taking you out" he said "I'll be here for half seven tomorrow. Like I said, dress smart. Take me somewhere nice. Or Enzo might just end up dead after all" I smiled, stepping closer to him as I fiddled with his belt
I looked up at him "I'll wear something nice, just for you" I whispered He stood still, strong, before he took a step back, clearing his throat and walking away
I laughed, turning to leave as my phone began to ring "What?" I asked, leaving the grounds "Why are you at Enzo Vitali's house?" Veronica snapped
"Keeping tabs eh Veronica" I asked, getting into my car "You've been reported conversing with him. So explain" she said "I'm going for the friendly tactic, if I can get close then I can get him alone and kill him" I said in an obvious tone
"That better be all it is. Do not overstep" she warned, hanging up. I sighed Nagging cow.

"She's an assassin, she's hired to kill you, why would she risk her job to deal with you?" Kian asked, suspicious "Countless targets is a reliable income, you paying her a one time fee doesn't make sense for her to leave them behind" he went on
"I know" Enzo said "And what if she takes the money and kills you anyway? Collects both sets of money" Athena asked She was worried, scared even It was evident in her eyes We had never dealt with someone so underground before

"Why can't I do it?" Alora asked "Because I know this month is... hard for us all. And I want you to concentrate on her, her background, where she comes from, who this place is that employs her" he explained "We need to find out who ordered that hit first, that's our priority" Kian insisted
