Chapter 16: Assassination

Serene lay back on bed exhausted both physically and mentally after the day's events, she look up to the white ceiling deep in thought wondering if she has really gone crazy and her head is trying to conjure fantasies in other to help her cope and be in control of her miserable life but, what she's been seeing isn't anything normal that's helping her cope rather trouble brewing.

What's happening to her, who can she ask?, who can she share with without getting judge as a psycho, who'll believe her, all these thoughts continue twirling in her brain before she eventually fell asleep into a certain fake oblivion.

"Have you found any information about her whereabouts?" A tall handsome blonde man with striking blue eyes asked a shorter man facing him.

"Yes sir!, her last location was found in a restaurant in the lower class part of the city and on further investigation, we found she live with two boys, one a nineteen year old high schooler and a younger boy" the man explained his accomplished assignment.

"That means you get the location and address" John state more of a statement than a question to which the shorter man gingerly answered.

"Yes sir"

"Then end her misery sooner! Will you do the honour " John said as he trace the rim of his wine glass cup before turning his blue eyes on the man who hastily nodded.

"I will sir" he watch as the shorter man leave to execute his new assignment and after the man left he felt a warm pair of slim white hands sling around his waist hugging him from behind.

"Already on the move" the blond beautiful woman Rosy, stated the obvious conversation which she listened to,

"Yes love, you know, anything for you and as soon as possible" she hummed at his honesty and close her sly green eyes savouring the moment of bliss.

"Yeah! Nature will always find itself a way to mend the broken shards of the world, balance the unbalanced realms and wipe the evil that has rotten" the blond beautiful woman whom Serene met first agreed to the tattooed woman, the Oracle.

"We need to find her before 'He' does" the Oracle stated and look into the distance with worried but determined eyes.

A tall broady man in black clothing covering every inch of himself, his hands enclosed with black gloves and a mask on his face covering his whole face excluding his dark eyes that glimmer with evil intent in the cold night approach a small apartment, he look around ensuring the absence of any intelligent being before removing something similar to needle out of his black Jean pocket and inserting it in the key hole of the apartment door and a click sound of satisfaction echoes in the dim surrounding, he gave a satisfactory smile hidden behind his mask before pushing the door gently open.

He walk into the house with light steps of precautions like a cat on mission to steal before stopping at a door, he contemplated between the two doors which are probably bedroom before deciding on one which he hope the target reside inside.

With stealthiness of an assassin he push the door open and walk in seeing his target on the bed draped with dark blanket, her face scrunching up as if she's having a dream which she's and of exactly that moment.

Serene watch the man step closer cautiously to her figure on the bed and stopped when he was next to the bed, he carefully took one of the pillow on the bed and brought it closer to her face. She felt her breath stop and her eyes bulge open as if the restriction spell she's in was broken and the reality completely merge and match with the nightmare.
