"Ashton, tell me about yourself" Serene asked the giddy boy.
"Vil said you should rest, shouldn't you?" Ashton asked instead of answering her, his face painted with worry as he stare at the skinny dimmed star laid on the bed of his brother, dark circles adorning her beautiful green eyes that lack luster.
Serene let out a small hollowed laughter with no pleasure or amusement as she turned the word 'rest' in her head.
"Rest Ash?, I could've rest forever, a rest of freedom if not for your brother" she lamented bitterness coating her words remembering her misery and futile attempts at grasping peaceful freedom that gives no pain as there is no feeling.
"Is it selfish of us to want you to stay?" Ashton inquired, his beady grey eyes wrapped with sorrow as he stare solemnly st Serene, she sigh releasing a melancholic breath as she stare into those eyes that says so much but nothing at the same time.
"Just entertain this broken dimmed star with little about your life" she stated looking into his innocent eyes with a small smile that screams pain and need for escape.
"Uhmm...I like a boy?.." he paused looking at Serene through his long blond lashes and waiting for her reaction but it was blank just as they got to know the dimmed star.
"But he's straight as pole..." Ashton continued releasing a humourless laugh as he remember his first love or to say crush.
"That's what most of them say or made people believe, but you'll be suprise when they're put in the same room with little advances taken" Serene said still staring at the young cutie.
"Shock they will be at first but...they may still want it" she added.
"Is he homophobic?" She asked with furrowed brows.
"Nope" Ashton quickly answered remembering he has a lesbian for a bestfriend.
"Does he tattle?" Serene asked again.
"Nope! Why?" Ashton asked confused at the series of questions from Serene.
"Then confess to him" Ashton's eyes widen at her words and he felt his heart hammer in his chest just thinking of how to confess and the kind of reaction he had get with a blatant rejection.
"Not for him to accept, but to lessen the burden in your chest" Serene said softly, she stared at the boy whose tense shoulders sagged and his face paint in fear and worry.
"A-Am scared!" He expressed quite timidly and ashamed of himself at the pathetic way his voice came out which he truly believe is pathetic and always has been. He can't do anything himself but always has to rely on his brother who was strong headed, smart and selfless to stand for him and take everything for them, protecting him and shielding him from any harm.
"It's okay to be scared, even I am" Serene comforted him, her face sad and her eyes reflecting the pain she experienced just a week ago.
"If you don't wanna tell him, then write it on a paper and burn it or discard it, maybe it'll help even a little" Serene mumbled quietly also telling herself to do the same thing and let the problems, pains and sufferings burn down and seize existing, she wish it will happen as so.
Those times when she do it she felt light and it lifts her mood for better, but can it do the same now, now that her problems and pains are bigger and heavier than a mountain.
"Serene?" Ashton softly called out to the spacing lady on the bed who was staring at a speck of nothing.
"Uhm Yes Ash?" She snapped out of her thoughts glancing at the shy boy silently asking what's wrong.
