Chihiro Hanagaki

Chapter 10

Mitsuya brought them over to Mikey, who was still on his bike. "Hey Takemichy. Chichi. Sorry for the surprise invite." Mikey greeted the two. Draken teased Takemichi, "Why did you decide to bring your wifey along?" Takemichi awkwardly replied, "Sorry about that. I just had no idea it was going to be like this." Draken then greeted Hinata, and the two apologized about the events from the other day. Chihiro quickly noticed that Hibiki was messing with some members of Toman. Sighing, she went over when she saw they looked ready to jump her.

She smacked Hibiki upside the head, "Behave!" Hibiki winced, holding her head, "Ow, what did I do?!" Chihiro rolled her eyes, dragging her back over just in time to see Hinata storm off. She glanced down at Takemichi, who looked worse for wear. "Alright, what happened?" Chihiro frowned, looking between Emma and Takemichi. Emma crossed her arms, watching Hinata storm off, "She looks pissed. I'm surprised you went after me when you have a girlfriend like that one. Don't you get the wrong idea though, it's not like I like you or anything. I just used you." Chihiro already knew this happened, but she still had to pretend.

"Takemichi!" Chihiro growled, narrowing her eyes at him. Her brother flinched, whimpering, "I'm really sorry." Hibiki clicked her tongue, "You deserved getting your ass kicked." Emma looked between the two, pointing at Chihiro, "So, I'm guessing you're his sister." Chihiro nodded, "Yup, and I'm guessing you were trying to use my brother to make someone else jealous." Emma's eyes focused on Draken's back, "But I guess it didn't have any effect at all. All he cares about: is riding, fighting, and Mikey. I thought messing around would at least make him a little mad." Chihiro thought her idea of getting Draken's attention was stupid.

Even in her past life, she never understood why people couldn't just go up to the person they liked and tell that person. Chihiro didn't know why they had to play this game of cat and mouse to tell someone how they felt. "I'm guessing the person you were trying to make jealous was Draken." Chihiro surmised. Emma looked surprised, "Yeah, how did you know?" Chihiro explained, "He was the only other person aside from Hinata over here. And you didn't know until now that my brother even had a girlfriend." Emma flushed a little knowing Chihiro hit the nail on the head.

"Why try to make him jealous? Why not be upfront with your feelings?" Chihiro pressed. "Chi, don't meddle!" Takemichi whispered. Emma looked unsure of herself, "I don't know." She then walked off, probably having a lot to think about now. "Takemichy, Chichi, you done?!" Draken called to the two. Chihiro bristled, "Stop calling me that?!" She ignored her brother telling her to calm down. Annoyed, Chihiro stormed over to Draken, pointing her finger in his face, "The only person who can call me Chichi is Ikki!"

Chihiro's cheeks puffed out, Hibiki looked so happy, and Takemichi looked like he was going to pass out. Instead of getting angry like Takemichi assumed, Mikey and Draken started laughing. "Man, that's such a stupid thing to get angry about." Draken laughed. Chihiro's cheeks puffed out more, and Mikey laughed harder, "She looks like a puffer fish!" Hibiki hugged Chihiro from behind, "Awe! And you're the only one who can call me Ikki!" Takemichi sweat dropped, "Oh Chi." Draken wiped a tear, "That was a good laugh." Mikey nodded, "Chichi's face was hilarious." It only annoyed her more that they ignored her in the end. "Alright! Gather around everyone! The meeting's about to start!" Draken announced.

Chihiro begrudgingly followed them, standing with Takemichi and Hibiki. Mikey addressed his gang, "I've brought you here today to talk about Moebius. If they go up against us it'll mean war. So, I wanna know what you all think." Chihiro could feel someone approaching them and reacted quickly, stopping Pah's kick with her own. "What's your deal?" Chihiro hissed. Despite Pah and Peh's initial shock, Peh still got in her face, "Ha!" Takemichi gasped, "What'd you do that for?" Peh snapped back, "Problem?!"

"You two are the Hanagaki punk, right?" Pah said matter-of-factly. "You're the little shit that got our boss Kiyomasa put outta commission, huh!?" Peh spat. Chihiro shoved Peh away from her brother, "Don't go startin' fights you can't finish." Veins popped out of their faces, but she wasn't scared of them. Before things could get further escalated Mitsuya stepped in. "Back off Pah. You know full well that we're supposed to drop the whole Kiyomasa issue now since he used Toman's name to promote his little fight club." Pah went on to say, "Huh, well I'm stupid, I guess, 'cause I don't know what any of that means!"

Chihiro tuned most of it out while Hibiki made faces at the two behind her back. She felt bad for Pah's friend and his friend's girlfriend. Osanai did some really fucked up things to the two of them. Even Chihiro wanted to kick the guy's face in. But that was no excuse for him being so cruel to her brother. All Takemichi did was stand up for himself and his friends against Kiyomasa. Kiyomasa was a shit person, to begin with.

Most of the Toman members were alright people despite being delinquents in a gang. Chihiro tuned back in when Mitsuya began explaining why Pah was so out of control. "Now that's really fucked up." Chihiro sighed, pinching Hibiki's cheek so she'd stop making faces. "That's just the way the whole Moebius gang operates. They're two generations above our gang and they run Shinjuku." Takemichi was shocked thinking Toman ran the whole area. Mitsuya corrected him, "Toman runs Shibuya. Shinjuku is separate. And our whole gang is still a relatively new one." Chihiro wondered how things would turn out with her here.

Some of the lower members were giving her dirty looks. She even heard some of them whispering about how she had attacked Mikey before. It was hard for any of them to believe that Mikey would want to befriend someone who blatantly tried to fight him. "Ouchie ouchie Chewchew!" Hibiki winced. Chihiro let go of her friend's cheek, "Sorry, Ikki, I spaced out." Hibiki rubbed her aching cheek with a pout. "You looked like you wanted to fight someone." Mitsuya chuckled.

Chihiro shrugged, "I just hate people who take advantage of others weaker than them." Mistuya nodded, "I agree with you on that." The meeting continued with Mikey asking Pah if he wanted them to go to war with Moebius. In tears, Pah declared he wanted to go to war with them. After hyping up his gang they all left on their motorcycles. Takemichi, Hibiki, Chihiro, and Hinata were the only ones left at the shrine. Hinata still didn't want to talk with Takemichi.

"Ikki, can you make sure Hina gets home okay?" Chihiro asks. Hibiki gets on her bike with Hinata sitting on the bag holder. "Yeah, see you tomorrow." Hibiki grins before taking off. The siblings go back home with a lot on their minds. The next day, Takemichi mentioned that they needed to protect Draken. "You know he's probably gonna turn down our help," Chihiro mentions as she braids her hair. "Why do you think that?" he asks.

"You suck at fighting." she bluntly states. Takemichi deflates slightly, "Oh yeah..." Chihiro nearly jumped out of her PJs when Takemichi shouted, "You can be his bodyguard!" Chihiro looked at him like he had grown three heads. "WHAT?!" she gasped. Takemichi gave her the puppy dog eyes begging, "Please, Chi!" Chihiro's brow twitched, 'Ugh, this sucks!' (Chihiro is dressed in her Yu Yu Hakusho hoodie, jean shorts, and black sneakers when she leaves the house)

They find Draken and Takemichi gives him his suggestions of Chihiro becoming his bodyguard. "My bodyguard? No way." he refused. "Oh thank you....what did you say?" Takemichi gasped. Draken tilted his head, "Why would I want anything so annoying? No offense Chi." Chihiro didn't look the least bit offended, "None taken." Draken then started to walk away and Chihiro turned to her brother, "Now what?" Takemichi was still determined to protect Draken.

"We follow him," he decides. "So we're stalking him now...." Chihiro mutters as Takemichi pulls her along. The two follow him to Joying-Sun Restaurant, where he meets up with Mikey. While Takemichi was hyper-aware of everything being said, Chihiro was calmly sipping on her milkshake. The only time she focused was when Takemichi dragged her out of the restaurant. They follow Mikey and Draken to the hospital where Pah's friend's girlfriend is being treated.

The parents of the girl weren't pleased that the two were there. The girl's father cursed them, but Draken forced Mikey to bow his head with him. After her parents leave Draken reminds Mikey, "Soon will be fighting Moebius. We'll deal with our own problems, and it'll be in our own world. All of our crew have families and relatives, and people who are important to them. We can't let innocent people get dragged into this. We can hurt their friends and family. It's not that you have to bow your head, just have a heart that cares." This was what Chihiro was talking about. Draken was Mikey's moral compass through and through.

Draken always stirred Mikey in the right direction, even though he wanted to be angry. "You're a good guy Kenny. You're right, I apologize...and ugh, I'm glad to have you by my side." Mikey appreciated it. As Mikey and Draken left the hospital Takemichi muttered, "We gotta make sure Draken survives."
