Chihiro Hanagaki

Chapter 12

Chihiro went to the hospital and stayed with Takemichi the whole night. She only woke up when she felt someone shaking her shoulder. Chihiro opened her eyes and looked up, "Hmm?" Emma was standing to her right along with Hibiki. "Emma? Ikki?" Chihiro yawned, sitting up. "How's Michi?" Hibiki asked. Chihiro looked at her still-sleeping brother, "My suspicions were right, he got a concussion from how hard he was punched the other day." Emma took the seat to the left while Hibiki took the seat to the right.

"So why did you guys come by?" Chihiro asked. Before either of them could answer, Takemichi woke up and stretched his arms out. Just like in the anime, Takemichi fondles one of Emma's boobs. Emma glares at him in disgust, "You creep." Takemichi pulls his hand away as if he touched something hot. "Emma! No! No! My hand wasn't under my control!" he reasoned. Hibiki narrowed her eyes, "I somehow doubt that." His eyes went wider when he noticed Chihiro and Hibiki.

"Chi! Hibiki! You gotta believe me, please!" he begged. That's when Takemichi realized he was in the hospital. "Wait! Mikey and the other guys, they okay?" Takemichi asked, looking between the three. Hibiki shrugged, "I took you to the hospital yesterday." Chihiro looked kinda miffed, "Mikey and Draken started arguing. I stepped in when they started throwing punches. Both of them stormed off so I'm sure what happened afterwards." All attention went to Emma, who started tearing up, "Draken got into a fight with Mikey." Takemichi pressed, "Wait what was the fight about?"

Emma shook her head, "I don't know. Things just kept escalating and...But it ended up with Toman getting divided. Between Mikey's side and Draken's." Takemichi turned to Chihiro who had a knowing look. "Do you know why they were fighting?" he questioned. "It was about leaving Pah behind. Both Mikey and Draken had conflicting views. I guess they didn't cool down at all." she supplied. Emma sobbed, "They were all blaming each other for Pah getting caught. And then they started fighting." She felt bad for Emma. Draken and Mikey are two of the most important people in her life. Emma began to sob into Takemichi's lap much to his shock and confusion.

"E-Emma don't cry." Takemichi gasped. "Draken's gonna be okay right?! I don't even know what's going on anymore!" she cried. Takemichi began to pat her head when the curtain got pulled aside. "Are you okay?! What's wrong?" Hinata panicked. Funnily enough, she laser-focused on Emma and Takemichi's compromising positions. Hinata freaked out clutching the curtain, "Oh no! Stop! That's gross! How dare you?!" Chihiro and Hibiki shared an unamused look. "Huh?! No.no.no. It's not what it looks like Hina!" Takemichi freaked out.

"Hina, do you really think he'd do something like that with me here?" Chihiro questioned, pointing to herself. "That would traumatize me," Hibiki added with a shiver. Hinata then noticed them, "Chi?! Ikki!?" Chihiro waved at her and Hibiki grinned. Hinata seemed to calm down seeing as it wasn't just Emma and Takemichi. Once Emma calmed down Hibiki and Chihiro took her home. The two parked their bicycles in front of the Sano residence.

"You sure you'll be okay?" Chihiro asked, worried. Emma nodded, getting the back of Hibiki's bike, "Thanks for the ride." Chihiro didn't want to leave things just like that. "Wait," she called. Emma turned back to them curious, "Yeah?" Chihiro pulled out her phone, tossing it to Emma, "Give me your number so I can check up on you." Emma stared down at Chihiro's purple flip phone for a good while.

She was relieved when Emma flipped it open and began typing on it. When she was done she tossed it back, "You can text me later so I'll have your number." Chihiro nodded and Emma went inside her house. Hibiki tilted her head to the side, "Why did you want her number?" Chihiro sat back on her bike, "She was really upset earlier so I wanted to be sure she's okay." The two rode off down the street and Hibiki laughed, "That's my Chichi! Always thinking about others!" Takemichi was discharged that day, but the doctors wanted him to be on bed rest for the next three days.
