"What an annoying little thing," I heard a deep, intriguing voice say. It put me at ease, and my mind submitted to the feeling. I slowly started to wake up. Opening my eyes, all I saw was the orange sky as the sun was close to setting. I jumped up immediately looking around me wildly. "Where? Who!? How long was I out?" I questioned. I tried to calm my rushing mind as I looked at my surroundings. I noticed the ship was far away, and I was on a flat rock near the island. "Did one of the crew save me?" I quietly asked myself. "No. I did." I jumped, nearly slipping back into the water before I felt a hand forcibly push me back onto the surface. "Are you incompetent or do you just have a fucking death wish?" The deep voice came from behind me. I shifted myself to see my savior. I was met with a yellow skined creature. His long hair was blue and styled up into a pompadour with the rest of it falling to his shoulders and back.  His crimson eyes stared at me with disgust. Studying him more he had grey  patterns along his skin. His clawed hands and half his arm were grey. He was very well built and his chest had a claw mark on it. What was he? "Are you just going to continue staring at me or are you going to say something?" He growled. "I- I um...What are you?" I asked trying not to sound afraid but miserably failed. "What a rude question to ask a person who saved your life, especially after you caught them in your net" he responded. He was the thing you caught. "S-sorry" was all I could say. He rolled his eyes. "I'm what you your kind calls a siren. And as of now, you owe me a favor, unless you want me to eat you?" He smiled sinisterly, showing off his sharp teeth. I shuddered. I tried to slowly crawl away."Speak." He commanded, and his voice held a mysterious echo. "OK. W-what is the favor?" I asked immediately without any control.  "Come here"
My body obeyed even though I kept screaming at it to stop. I was now a few inches away from him. My breath fast and ripid.
"Get your crew and get out of here" His crimson eyes glowed a bright red. "I-i can't i don't have any control the c-captain does please. Im just a deck hand " I wanted to get away from his piercing stare but my body refused to move. Tears pricked my eyes.  "Oh you're a pet" he pulled away and your body was yours again. You backed away.  Although I was scared, I immediately felt hurt and anger towards the name. "Pet?" I repeated. The creature smirked. "Yes. You're clearly one of the servant they keep around to do all the work. You're completely useless in doing anything else. Hell, you couldn't even swim" he laughed. I could feel my face heat up in anger and embarrassment. "I'm not useless and I can swim. I was just...caught on the net" I half lied. Truth be told, I couldn't swim. I never learned, but I had no choice but to be on the water when the captain took me in. Lost in thought I didn't notice the creature swam behind me. "Prove it" was all I heard before I was shoved into the water. I thrashed around, trying to get back on the rock only to be dragged away from it. "No, no, no. Swim back to your ship pet. Better hurry before I get hungry"  His voice echoed as he laughed at my futile efforts. I tried to swim towards the island I felt a clawed grip on my ankle before being dragged under. I was met face to face with the large creature. He smiled sinisterly at me and I noticed the long gray tail where his legs should have been. I screamed out of instinct but immediately closed my mouth as water filled it. I struggled against his grasp. He rolled his eyes and yanked me by my shirt collar and flung me on the island. I landed hard on shallow water. I trembled from the cold water and air finally returned to my lungs. I felt like crying. "Tell your captain to get out of here or I'll sank that pathetic ship of his" I heard him say before a splash was heard. I looked back at the water and nothing. The sun has set and it was a bright start night. I just stared at the water.

Should I tell everyone about what I saw?
If I don't we will surly die right?

I got up my right ankle was sore from the creature's harsh grip on it. Then I heard footsteps belonging to multiple people. I turned around to see the crew. "Y/n what in bloody heavens are you doing here" Samantha asked. Samantha was the crews cook and might be my only friend. She ran up to me. We need to get you to James immediately. I nodded. James was our surgeon or our doctor of the ship.  The captain came to stand beside Samantha. "Disobedience is not tolerated y/n. I told you to tend to the nets. What are you doing here?" A dark tone was evident. "I- I got pulled off the boat" I decided to tell the truth. "Ha! By fish?! Damn I knew you were weak, but cmon, " I heard Jeremy say in the back, the crew laughing along with him. "No! By a creature! I-it was large and had yellow skin and sharp teeth. He had a tail and gills! With glowing red eyes!" I explained. Everyone stared at me for a moment, then looked at each other before bursting out in laughter.  I admit it sounded crazy but it's the truth wasn't it. "It said if we didn't get out of here it would sink the ship!" I pleded with the captain to believe me. The captain gave me a disapproving look and began walking over to the boats. "Honey, do you have a fever? You must have dreamed it when you fell off the boat and got washed up on shore." She said, helping me up and into her boat along with Jeremy and Benny. Benny helped set us off and hoped inside the boat while Jeremy rowed towards the ship. I played my head on Samantha and tried to calm down. "Hey Benny, I wouldn't put my dick in crazy." Jeremy laughed.  Benny snickered and immediately stopped when Sam gave them both a death stare. As Jeremy hooked our boat and we stared to get lifted up onto the ship, I stared at the water to see a flicker of red before it disappeared under the water. I didn't dream it.
