Getting to know you

It's dark. I felt like I was sinking. I opened my eyes abit to see I was deep in the ocean floor,but I didn't panic. I felt at peace. Bubbles started coming up from my breath. A sweet melody filled my ears as I started to fall deep under it's embrace. "Wake up..." I heard a deep smooth voice say softly. "Wake up." It commanded getting kinda distorted. "Y/N GET YOUR ASS UP" I gasp as water was poured on my face. I opened my eyes and stared at the person responsible. Jeremy was above me holding a bucket. "What the hell?!" I snapped.
"Oh be quiet, I just saved ya life"
"What do you..." I noticed I was on the stairs of the cellar and the entire cellar floor was flooding with water. Holes were in the walls. And the windows were smashed. I felt the ship jolt. "What's going on?" I asked. "Something is attacking the ship
We need to get outta here and back to the island." Jeremy screamed grabbing my wrist tight and pulling me along. We ran threw the crew's quarters and onto the deck. Everyone was there some had packed what they could in bags and satchels. The captain was looking over the rail of the boat shouting insult at the attacker. James and Dennis tried to calm everyone down and prepare the rowboats. Sam came up to me. "Something is going on we need to get to the rowboats. Come with me and Jeremy." She shouted as she lead us to one of the rowboats. The captain blocked our way. "A crew never abandons their ship! I command you all get in your battle stations and protect this ship!" Me and Sam just stood there while the crew got their muskets and manning the cannon. They started shooting at the water trying to hit whatever it was.  "I will sank that pathetic ship".  My mind went back to the words of my first encounter. He was fulfilling his threat. "Walden! They could kill him! But he's going to kill us if we don't do something" I thought. "ARE YOU FUCKIN CRAZY. WE NEED TO ABANDON SHIP. IT'S GOING TO SINK" Sam screamed at the captain. It fell on death ears as he was back to leaning over the railing as shouting threats. "YOU DONT SCARE ME MONSTER! YOU WILL DIE AND WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS. YOU ARE NOTHING. YOU ARE-". A hard hit to be ship sent the captain overboard. He was franticly splashing in the water yelling at us to drop the ladder. But soon the attacked stopped and we heard painful yells and cries for help. We looked over at the captain who was being dragged under. Blood came from the water as he yelled. "IT TOOK MY LEGS! HELP ME!". He was dragged down and a few bubbles popped up. The water was silent until his body popped back up in the water. His skin was pale and his eyes were dull. His face remained in a scream. His bottom jaw was ripped off and he was missing all his limps. His guts were pulled out his stomach. I felt like throwing up. The crew was silent all scared. The ship was still sinking when we felt a hard hit making the ship jolt. "Everyone to the boats!" Sam screamed. "But the Captain said-" Lawny spoke but was cut off by Dennis. "Fuck what the captain said! HE'S DEAD. and I'm in charge now. Get your asses on the rowboats and to that island" he commanded. Everyone hurried getting on the boats. James, Sam, Jeremy and I were on the first boat. Richard, Cheri, Lawny, and Benny was on the second. Bridgett and Denis on the third. We all dropped the boats and started rowing the island. The ship was sinking fast disappearing under the ocean blue. Me and Jeremy rowed fast. Then we heard a girl scream. It was Lawny. Their boat was hit and flipped over by the creature. "Get in!" Dennis tried to pull Cheri into the boat. Benny screamed as everyone saw a grey clawed hands go into his back come out his big belly. The bloody hand now held his guts and ripped them out. Benny was gasping until something dragged him under. A few seconds later his decapitated head came back up. The head was looking straight at Lawny it's mouth opening and closing for a few times before it's eyes glazed over and sunk. Lawny swam fast trying to get to Dennis but something grabbed a hold of her leg an twisted it. She screamed as we all heard the sound of flesh ripping. Lawny screamed and Dennis rowed over to her grabbing her hand to pull her up. When they did they saw Lawny was missing her lower half. They called screamed. Lawny flopped back in the water her mouth agape. She was dead. Richard made it to our boat. We tried to pull him but but something grabbed a hold to him. "Please please I don't want to die. Not like this. I never got to tell my mother I loved her." Richard pleaded. I grabbed the paddle I was rowing with and hit the water under Richard. I made contact with something and it let go of Richard. We rowed fast all of us making it to the shore. "I think y/n was right." James spoke winded.   "What do we do now?" Sam asked. "What do you think. We have a whole island of resources. We survive and build a new ship to get the hell outta here. We will tell other pirates about this and we get more people come back here and kill that thing. For Lawny, for Benny, For the Captain!" Dennis said. Sam looked at him. "Look I know we suffered loses but we can't fi- "
"THAT THING KILLED MY FATHER! IM NOT GONNA LET IT LIVE. AND IF YOU'RE NOT WITH ME YOUR AGAINST ME AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THAT SHIP WHEN IT'S COMPLETE. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!" Everyone stared. "Im with you captain Brigget said. "So am I " Richard chimed. Dennis looked at Jeremy and Cheri. They nodded. "We're in" Jeremy said hesitantly. "You three! James, Sam, y/n?" He glared at us. "We're in but once this is done and we go back home. I quit and I'm taking y/n with me." Sam said. "Same" James complied. "Then it's settled. Let's get to fuckin work." Dennis smirked.
