Deep End | Hyunlix

It's been a few days since Felix saw Hyunjin at the art gallery. And his mind kept wandering back to the other. I.N teased him relentlessly on the way home, but he made the younger promise to not say anything to the others. I.N didn't like it but reluctantly agreed.

"Felix," Chan said, snapping the older out of his thoughts.

Felix blinked a few times. Looking around at the men in front of him. Concentrate, he thought to himself. Now is not the time to be thinking about a boy. He pushed all thoughts of Hyunjin out of his brain and proceeded to lay out the plan.

"We are going to enter through the basement. I.N will connect to the security system and give us exactly thirty minutes to get in and get the intel and get out. Once inside we will split into two teams. Seungmin and Han, you will head towards the main server room on the second floor and get all the intel onto our drive. Chan and I will keep guard. Try not to use your gun if you don't have to. Neutralize them with the darts so we don't draw attention to ourselves. Let's get in, get the intel, and get out."

The four others nodded their heads. They finished gearing up before heading to the van. Felix was feeling nervous this was his first mission back and he knew the pressure was on to prove he was ready to be back. They had gotten intel that this bank had information on who was funding the Snake Eye Clan. As they alway say, follow the money, and that is what they were trying to do.

"Stick close to him," Felix heard I.N tell Chan. The older nodded his head before getting into the back with the others.

The ride over was silent. Everyone concentrating, there was a nervous energy in the air. Felix took a deep breath trying to calm his racing heart. This is nothing new, he thought. You've done this hundreds of times. This is just another mission. Stick to the plan and everything will be fine.

Chan could feel the nervous energy radiating from Felix. He caught the younger's attention and gave him a reassuring smile. Felix nodded at him and turned to look out the window.

"You're clear to go through the gate once you arrive. I've triggered the gate to open," I.N said into their ear piece.

"Okay mask up. Remember we don't want them to know we are here. Get in and get out." Felix said before pulling his mask up.

They arrived at the gate and were able to pull straight through like I.N said. They went into the garage and parked near where they would be entering.

"The garage is clear. Once you get inside, start your timers. You will have thirty minutes before I am kicked out of the security system. Don't forget once you're inside the office there aren't cameras so you will be going in blind," I.N said.

"Copy that," Felix said. Helooked at the other four men and nodded his head. They got out and quickly made it to the first door. "Once I open this door, start your watches. We need to get to the server room as quickly as possible. Ready?"

The other four nodded their heads. Felix turned the door handle and they entered silently making their way to the side staircase. They stayed along the wall and since it was night most of the lights were off.

"The next door to your left will get you up the side staircase. It's up four flights and once you get through the door you will have to walk through the first set of offices." I.N relayed to them.

They quickly made it up the stairs and through the door. Felix grabbed the door handle when he heard keys jingle from outside. He raised his hand signaling for them to not move. They all held their breath waiting for whoever was outside to leave. When Felix could no longer hear the person outside he took a deep breath and slowly opened the door and peaked out. He glanced around and saw a small lamp in one of the cubicles was on. He quickly shut the door and turned to his team.

"There is someone here. He's in the next office, but we need to be careful. Stick close by." Felix said.

Chan was about to speak up, but Felix had already opened the door before he could. They silently walk through the first office, occasionally glancing at the one cubicle,  but they made it to the second set of doors.

"Head left now and it's the second door on your right. You'll have fifteen minutes now for Seungmin to get into the system and get the intel." I.N said.

They followed I.N instructions and Seungmin and Han slipped inside the server room while Chan and Felix stood guard outside. Seungmin took off his backpack, pulling out his laptop and connecting it to the server. He handed Han a drive and the older connected it. Let's do this, he thought as he glanced down at his watch. He started working on bypassing the servers security while Han anxiously watched beside him.

Meanwhile outside Felix and Chan were anxiously watching the cubicle. "Stay here I am going to go around and see if I can see whoever is in that cubicle," Felix said.

"No, I will go," Chan said. He didn't want the younger to go off on his own.

"This isn't an argument. Stay here. If they get done before I come out let me know. We will meet at the stairwell." Felix said and walked down the hall.

Chan gritted his teeth and silently watched the younger leave. He glanced at the server door wondering how much longer the other two will take.
