Felix's breath was ragged, his forehead still pressed against Hyunjin's. Neither of them moved, frozen in place, as if any motion would cause the fragile moment between them to shatter. The truth of everything they had said, of everything they had admitted to one another, lingered heavily in the air.
This wasn't just a mistake. It was the mistake, and yet, neither of them stopped.
Felix felt his heart pounding in his chest, the sound deafening in his own ears. He couldn't look away from Hyunjin's eyes, those dark, unreadable eyes that held so many secrets. He could feel Hyunjin's breath, warm against his skin, but neither of them had moved, neither of them had let go of the fragile thread of connection they had just woven between them.
Hyunjin swallowed hard, his fingers curling into the fabric of Felix's shirt. "Tell me this is stupid," he whispered, his voice shaky but filled with something deeper, something that felt almost like a challenge. "Tell me you'll regret this."
Felix let out a soft, bitter laugh, the sound escaping him before he could stop it. "I can't."
Hyunjin sucked in a sharp breath, his chest rising and falling more rapidly now. "Felix..." Felix cut him off with another desperate kiss.
Hyunjin melted into it instantly, his hands finally moving. One slid up Felix's chest, the other gripping at the back of his neck, pulling him closer. Felix groaned at the contact, his hands tightening at Hyunjin's waist, feeling the heat radiating between them. He deepened the kiss, swallowing the tiny noises Hyunjin made, letting them undo him piece by piece.
Felix's grip moved to Hyunjin's hips, his thumbs slipping under the hem of his hoodie, brushing against bare skin. Hyunjin shivered under his touch, pressing closer like he wanted more, but was too proud to ask for it.
Felix smirked against his lips, feeling a thrill run through him at how easily he had pulled this reaction from the older man. "You like this," he murmured, the words carrying a challenge of their own.
Hyunjin let out a shaky breath, his body tense against Felix's. "Shut up."
Felix chuckled, but his next kiss was softer, slower, just for a moment. His lips moved to Hyunjin's jaw, to the spot just below his ear where he could feel Hyunjin's pulse pounding under his touch.
"Felix..."
It was barely a whisper, but it sent heat curling down Felix's spine, making every nerve in his body scream for more.
Felix wanted more. He wanted to break Hyunjin apart completely.
But a sound interrupted them. A vibration against Felix's thigh. His phone. Reality crashed into him like a freight train. Felix pulled back, breathless, his mind spinning as he realized what had just happened. His phone continued to buzz, its vibration jarring against the wood of the table.
Hyunjin's lips were swollen, his pupils blown wide with desire, his chest rising and falling in quick, uneven breaths. He looked wrecked, and Felix had done that.
For a brief, dangerous second, Felix almost ignored the call. He almost let it ring until it stopped. But then he saw the name flashing on the screen.
Chan.
Shit, he thought. Felix forced himself to take a step back, his fingers still tingling from where they had gripped Hyunjin's skin. The distance between them felt unbearable now. He needed to make a choice, and the weight of it pressed down on him, making it hard to breathe.
Hyunjin's dazed expression cleared in an instant. His walls slammed back up, his posture stiffening. "Answer it," he said, his voice hoarse.
Felix hesitated, torn between the call that demanded his attention and the man in front of him who was waiting, quietly falling apart with every passing second. His fingers hovered over the screen, his mind at war with itself.
