It was the day of the mission, and the nerves were starting to hit Felix. He took a deep breath, his hands steady as he cleaned his gun, making sure everything was in perfect working order. The quiet of the preparation room allowed his mind to wander, running through the plan again in his head, ensuring every detail was accounted for.
"Hey, you okay?" Chan's voice came from behind him, breaking through the silence.
Felix whipped around, startled, not realizing anyone else was nearby. "Hey, yes. I'm just running through the plan again," Felix replied, a little too quickly. He wiped his hands on a towel, trying to push down the growing anxiety in his chest.
Chan gave him a reassuring smile, stepping closer. "We have the upper hand. They don't know we're coming. Plus, if their leader is there, we could have the opportunity to take him out."
Felix nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, you're right. I just... I just want to make sure no one gets hurt. And we have to make sure they don't get those weapons under any circumstances."
"I agree," Chan said, his tone serious now. "We still don't know what they're planning to do with all those weapons. I'd hate to even think about what they have planned."
Felix sighed and holstered his gun. "Me too." The reality of what they were about to do hung heavily in the air.
One by one, the rest of the team began to arrive, each member focused and ready. As they geared up, they ran through the plan again, making sure everyone knew their role and how they were going to execute everything flawlessly.
Felix glanced at each member, nodding in approval as they all suited up.
"Okay, Chan, you, Seungmin, and I will be the ones on the ground. We'll go through the warehouse, secure the weapons, and if we can, we'll grab the clan leader and the seller. Wait for my signal before we use the smoke bombs and tranquilizer darts to capture the targets and seize the weapons."
"Got it," both Chan and Seungmin replied in unison.
"Han," Felix turned to the driver. "You'll be waiting in the car. Be alert in case we need you to step in."
"You got it," Han said with a quick nod, checking his gear one last time.
"I.N," Felix continued, looking over at the youngest member. "You'll be our eyes and ears from here. Keep your eyes out for anything suspicious."
"Got it, boss," I.N responded, typing away on his laptop.
Felix turned to the team, his expression hardening. "Everyone needs to be on high alert. We have an advantage, but don't underestimate them. Just be careful."
The team nodded in agreement as they all completed their final preparations, checking their ear pieces and securing their masks. Felix gave one last look around at his team, making sure they were ready, before signaling for them to head out. I.N would be monitoring the street cameras for them as they approached the warehouse.
"Alright, I'm seeing three to four guards at the back entrance, but only two out front," I.N reported through their earpieces, his voice calm but steady.
Felix gave a small nod. "Okay, let's focus on the back guards first, keep it low-key so we don't raise suspicion."
The van fell into silence as everyone's attention shifted to the task ahead. The drive to the warehouse was quick, the team focusing on their mission. They parked on a street running parallel to the warehouse, keeping to the shadows to remain unseen.
Felix signaled for Chan and Seungmin to follow him, and the three of them slipped out of the van, moving silently along the side of the building. Felix led the way, pausing when they reached the street where the warehouse stood. He peered around the corner and saw the guards four of them, all carrying assault rifles, casually talking to each other as they patrolled.
Felix turned back to Chan and Seungmin. "We have four guards, all carrying assault rifles. We need to take them out quietly and quickly so we don't draw attention."
"I have a plan," Seungmin said quietly.
Felix gave him a sharp nod, trusting his teammate's skills. Seungmin had a knack for gadgets, and he had something up his sleeve for this. Without another word, Seungmin moved to the other side of the building, eager to test out a new device he'd been working on. The small metal ball looked harmless enough, but when detonated, it sent out electric shocks to anyone within a five-foot radius. It wasn't lethal, but it would knock out the guards long enough for Felix and Chan to neutralize the others.
Seungmin threw the ball with precision. It hit one of the guards with a sharp thunk, and the rest of the patrol turned to look.
"Hey, you two, go check that out," one of the guards barked, sending two of them in the direction of the metal ball.
Seungmin grinned. "The other two are for you guys," he whispered into his earpiece.
Felix and Chan crouched down, watching as the two guards approached the metal ball. They didn't see the danger until it was too late. As soon as the two got within range, Seungmin detonated it. The electric shocks coursed through the guards, sending them crashing to the ground, unconscious.
Before the remaining two guards could react, Felix and Chan swiftly took them out with tranquilizer darts, watching as they fell silently to the ground.
"Guards are down. We're entering the building," Felix reported, his voice low but focused.
"You're cleared to go once you're through the door," I.N's voice crackled through their earpieces.
Felix, Chan, and Seungmin moved quickly to the back door of the warehouse, slipping inside with practiced precision. The moment the door closed behind them, the warehouse fell eerily silent.
Chan glanced around, scanning for any threats, before giving Felix a quick nod. Felix gestured for them to move, leading the way through the plastic strip curtains.
But when they stepped into the next section of the warehouse, Felix froze. It was empty. Completely empty. The only thing in the center of the large space was a single container, with a note placed on top of it.
"Something's wrong," Felix murmured, his voice tight with suspicion.
Chan and Seungmin tensed, their eyes darting around the room. Felix walked slowly over to the container and picked up the paper. As he read the message, his eyes widened in shock.
"Gotcha."
Felix's breath caught in his throat. He barely had time to react when the lights suddenly cut out, plunging them into darkness.
Before he could process what had just happened, a sharp pain struck him from behind. He stumbled forward, feeling himself lose balance as the world around him spun. The sound of gunshots echoed in the distance, and Felix's vision blurred as he fell into unconsciousness, the world around him swallowed by darkness.
